I owned this bike from 1986 until around 2005 then sold it to a close friend of mine. he rode it infrequently until approximately 2009 when he became to old to safely ride the bike anymore. his son bought the big Suzuki and stored it in his workshop/garage. in 2014 he rebuilt the carbs, installed a dynojet kit, pod filters, and aftermarket turn signals to replace the drooping originals. rode it over the summer and put it back in the workshop to concentrate on a 72 Kawasaki h2 resto/mod. bought the bike back in oct 2014. replaced the battery with a sealed unit, had the brakes serviced and new fork seals installed along with a new set of bridgestone tires rode it a couple of times then drained the carbs and added stabil to the tank, storing it for the winter. took it out for a first real ride this year, about ten miles. fired up and runs great. no smoke or funny noises, clutches and shifts like glass, does have a slight valve cover leak on the left side. all electrics work. left side cover cracked. tank has a pencil eraser sized spot on the tank where something spilled or dripped on it. seat has no rips or holes. original paint is sharp and glossy with still vibrant pigment. original pipes in great condition, the brown substance on the inboard header pipes is mud/dirt, not rust. no sun fade on switch gear, plastics, etc. pictures taken today. not even washed, much less detailed. the only departures from stock are the pod filters (I have the original air box), grips (I have originals) and the turn signals. this bike has been garaged its whole life, ridden sanely, and cared for. lingering shoulder and neck injuries from a automobile accident keep me from riding for more than a short time, so I have regrettably decided its time to sell this beast. you could ride this bike home to anywhere in the U.S. clear Missouri title.
