This is incorrect. That date is the date of my last vehicle registration renewal. It appears that somehow the renewal got put into the system incorrectly. This vehicle has never been in an accident--at least since 2007, when I purchased it. If you are serious about purchasing, and this is a problem for you, perhaps you want to check with another source, such as Carfax, to confirm what I am saying. Upgrades to the car:K&N FIPK cold air intake system, which increases engine output by 17 hp, washable filterEdelbrock IAS Inertia Valve Performance Shocks, which very noticeably improve ride quality and corneringFord Racing Limited Slip differential added, with 3.27 gears (new at 133,692 miles)Kenwood audio receiver with HD radio and USB connectivity, Infinity Kappa component speaker system front and rear (mids and tweeters w/ crossovers), with an Alpine V12 4 channel amplifier, all with high quality wiring and connectorsDynamat Extreme sound deadening material added to front doors and rear deck, to improve audio quality, and deaden road/exterior noiseFront seats from a 2004 Crown Vic ( upgrades over 1999 originals: better padding, upgraded headrests, power lumbar adjustability)Headliner from a 2004 Crown Vic (upgrades over 1999 original: Better interior dome light, added handholds that weren't present in the original)Auto dimming rear view mirror with built in compass addedTrailer wiring added and 1 1/4" Uhaul hitch added for bike rack, or light duty towing (car is tow rated for 1500 lbs)J-Mod transmission shift quality upgrade (firms up and quickens shifts--most noticeable under faster acceleration)Maintenance: Since I purchased the car in 2007 (with ~78000 on the ODO), I have always changed all the fluids at the appropriate intervals, and only with high quality, full synthetic fluids. This includes the engine, transmission, power steering, rear differential, and brakes. Major work done in the past five years:Four new tires on 7/20/2010 (mileage: 114,336)Overhauled entire rear axle and added Ford Racing limited slip differential 3/28/12 (mileage: 133,692) -- all near axle seals, bearings, and fluid + brand new differential Replaced all upper and lower front suspension ball joints, and inner and outer drivers side tie rod ends (plus front end alignment) 3/14/13 (mileage: 140,840) Replaced cracked windshield 4/11/13 (mileage: 141,266)Refinished front brake rotors and new front brake pads 6/27/13 (mileage: 142,730)All work done in the last year:Oil Change and filter (full synthetic oil and Fram Tough Guard filter), and upper intake cleaning 4/30/14 (mileage 149,268)Rear brake rotors refinished and brake pads replaced. All front and rear brake hardware (bolts, slides, boots, and pad springs) replaced, and everything re-lubricated. Entire brake system flushed/bled with new fluid. 9/11/14 (mileage : 152,695)Small windshield chip repaired and guaranteed by Safelite 1/7/15 (mileage: 155,583)Tires rotated and balanced (tread life at 50%) 1/26/15 (mileage: 155,935) Condition:Exterior: There are light scratches and small dings in the external paint and trim (mostly only noticeable at close distances), and some very small rust spots on the roof. The "Ford" emblem on trunk broke off at some point. The rear bumper had a crack above the right tailpipe, and I just repaired it with flexible epoxy. It is ready to be painted, but I will leave that up to the purchaser (can be done with a $6 can of color-matched paint from Autozone). The windshield has a small chip that was repaired (and guaranteed to not grow into a larger crack) by Safelite. It is still visible.Interior: Driver's side "A" pillar trim piece has a hole where an adjustable spotlight used to go through. The driver's seat fabric shows some wear, and there is some adhesive residue on the drivers side dash. Some of the door jambs have paint that is scratched up pretty good. This is only visible when the doors are open.Mechanical: The car runs and drives great. I have stayed on top of maintenance, and replaced worn parts before they failed. These police package vehicles, with all their durability upgrades, easily make it into the 250,000-350,000 mile range, and I have no doubt that this one is capable of that, with continued good maintenance. The only mechanical things I can think of worth mentioning are that the engine has a minor oil leak at the valve covers (I have new valve cover gaskets that I was going to install, and I may be persuaded to include for the right sale price), and the differential pinion oil seal appears to have a very minor leak (I topped off the diff with oil recently, and it required very little oil. Hence, small leak). None of these leaks result in fluids reaching the ground. If you do not like my asking price, I am willing to sell the car without the K&N intake (would replace with the stock intake), stereo/amplifier/speakers (car would have no radio or speakers), and/or the trailer hitch. The car has been cleaned inside and out for this sale. The car has been a non smoking vehicle. The $500 deposit required to complete the purchase on Ebay is non-refundable. Changed mind, made a mistake, etc will not result in a refund. Make sure you know what you are purchasing before clicking the button! Please ask questions! The trailer hitch is not installed in the pictures, but will be installed for the buyer, if it is part of the sale agreement.
