For sale is an original 1st year Honda Goldwing with special double dual weber performance kit installed. Original carburetors included. Original Carbs were rebuilt about 4 years ago with a Randakk kit. They have been sitting on the shelf for a year and a half. The dual Weber carbs are model 40IDF XE and were purchased new. I have the spec adjustment book to set up the carbs. I purchased the manifolds from a private party and a partially assembled linkage assembly. I completed the linkage assembly and got the bike running in the summer of 2013. Drove the bike about 100 miles that summer. Great sound and performance improvement. Very quick response because the carbs sit right above the intakes. Lots of fun. Had a heart attack that summer and the bike has sat since that time. Selling it as is. Original carbs can be re-installed in a couple hours. The rest of the bike is stock, just like it came from the factory. No pitting on the chrome. Good exhausts. I've had the bike for about 8 years. Kept in heated garage. Original 3 inch mirrors and original seat with Honda logo on the rear. Covers are original with original paint and decals. No fading. Left faux tank cover had some scratches so I replaced it with an original NOS cover 4 years ago. This bike is not perfect. Some scratches here and there but really pretty nice. Engine and Carbs are original to the bike. Engine number is GL1E 1005599. $500.00 paypal deposit must be received within 3 business days of auction close. Bike is located in Maple Grove, MN, just northwest of Minneapolis, MN. Front tire is new Bridgstone 11F. Rear is also 11F Bridgestone, but has about 1000 miles on it. Front brakes are new with new stainless steel brake lines. Hadn't run it in a year and a half. Had to replace the dead-man start switch which fell apart internally. Had a brand new switch in my garage for road emergencies. The bike started right up. brought it up to temp. Everything works, lights, brakes, and all guages including neutral switch. Took it for a short ride. Didn't idle really well though. I had to rev the throttle or it would sputter and die at idle. Had some back fires also. Don't think I would trust taking it for a road trip until carbs are checked and readjusted. Timing and plugs checked. I just don't want to work on it any more. I am selling it as is. Sure has a great sound though when you drive it!!On Mar-30-15 at 16:38:44 PDT, seller added the following information: I have one correction to the description. I discovered that the rear tire has 3000 miles on it, not 1000 as described. Front tire is new, however. Both are Bridgestone 11F. Front has raised white letters, rear is black.
