Vehicle Detail

Hello. Up for auction is my 1962 Buick lesabre 4dr hardtop. The car runs and drives beautifully, but does need a new battery. it will start and run with a jump box. Battery holds enough charge to drive, just not starting. I have a battery-tender charger on it for when I drive it. Body is fair to good with work and paint done about 8 years ago. The paint is not a top dollar job, but makes a great 20-footer. Some rust starting to bubble through on lower rear doors and wheel wells and couple spots on pass front door. The odometer stopped working last year so there is really about 200 more miles on the car than it says. Car has power brakes and steering and radio still works. Seats are in great condition and I've had covers over them to keep them that way. The rest of interior should be redone due to mold. I've recored the radiator + heater core, rebuilt the starter and generator, new voltage regulator, recent tires, stainless steel exhaust, stainless steel brake lines, rebuilt all brake cylinders with new shoes, also installed braided stainless steel flex hoses. I just put a new carb float in as the last one failed. Center driveshaft bearing has been rebuilt. Tank is full of gas and ready to go. Fuel gauge does not work, wipers and lights do. car also comes with a trunkload of spare parts that my family hoarded over the years. Most parts you would need including NOS lenses and mechanicals are there. This car is a nice driver and would make a great restoration project. I no longer have the time and need to downsize the fleet. The car has an R-title because I purchased it through a "Mechanic's lein". It was abandoned at a garage over 8 years ago when last owner just didn't pay his shop bill. I've had it registered and on the road since 2007. No reserve, first bid can win it. Starting bid is exactly 50% appraised value of car by my insurance company. Bring along a jumper box and you can drive it anywhere. That's what I do. On Jan-04-15 at 22:21:50 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that this is the higher compression version of the 401 nailhead. It likes higher octane fuel than the "economy" version of the time.
