Vehicle Detail
Auction, November 20-22 in Market Hall. One of 100 licensed by GM, the Carralo was built by Knudsen Automotive. It was transformed from a Camaro into a sporty, exotic road machine. The Carralo features T-tops and is one of two manufactured in 1989 his is a Limited Edition car that GM commissioned Knudsen Automotive to build from 1986 to 1991. During this period, Knudsen Automotive built approximately 150 Tojans. According to Mr. Russell Knudsen, the company President, this car is #34 of 100 produced. They also built about 100 cars on the Camaro chassis during this same time frame and they were called the "Carralo". For this car, GM shipped Knudsen Automotive a 1986 Pontiac Trans Am and they installed the fiberglass hood, rear deck lid, front/rear quarter panels and front/rear bumpers. The doors and top are the only metal exterior left on the car, everything else is fiberglass. The car has a beautiful Burl Walnut dash with Digital Instrumentation, Recaro seats, 3 piece Gotti Wheels and a performance suspension. Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Rear Deck Lid, Power Mirrors, Cruise Control and Tilt Steering Wheel. The engine is a (5.7 Liter) 350 TPI (Tuned Port Injection) with a 700R4 Automatic Transmission. You are looking at a rare 1989 Camaro Carralo Built by Knudson Automotive (Now Rage Exotics). This is one of a hundred ever built and is in excellent condition. This is not a kit that someone bolted on. It was built in 1989 this way and the Carralo was available through GM dealers by a joint venture of GM and Knudson Automotive. Most of these were shipped overseas. Knudsen only made 3 of these car with the 350 V8 this is one of the three. Feel free to call me and talk 904-874-3262
