Vehicle Detail
Here it is - your dream father and Son project ! 1995 Maserati Biturbo Coupe with Automatic Transmission. THE GOOD: Straight body, Original black paint with pin stripe, automatic. Very nice interior, seats and headliner & carpet ( original custom trident floor mats not in good shape) OPTIONS: MIE aluminized dual exhaust (there are no catalytic converters on this car - straight through from turbos to muffler); MIE Carburetor tune ( IE rejecter with fatter jets); SPEARCO air-to-air intercooler; Electrical Fuse box has been replaced with newest and latest Maserati fusebox ; rear suspension K frame was replaced with new part from MIE for $600. HISTORY: Was originally a San Francisco California car. I have owned this car continually since 1992. I bought it from a prominent PI attorney in Tacoma Washington w/30K miles - it was his wife's daily driver. I drove it until 1995 when a turbo started to go bad - (according to the mechanic that checked it out). The car still ran fine - but was down on power. I parked it and was going to have it fixed but then took a job out of country. It was stored in my mothers garage until recently - i.e. stored since 1995. THE REST: Very minor rust. Engine still cranks to verify that it is not seized. All wear is garage wear - some small dents here and there. I assume that it would not take much to get running again - engine bay needs to be sorted out - needs rubber odds and ends, electrical connectors cleaned etc. under the hood - IE deterioration from sitting. MAINTENANCE: I replaced the water pump, timing belt and re-sealed the oil pump in 1995 - this is all part of the recommended maintenance when doing timing belt replacement. Valve were adjusted. To get going again I would check the condition of the water pump pulley and make sure the bearing still turns because it is one of two idler pulleys for the cam belt. I cannot vouch for the condition of anything else - I am selling this as a project as is where is. I, the seller, reserves the right to sell this car in my local market at my discretion.
