Vehicle Detail
1963 Jeep J200 gladiator truck with venerable "Tornado" 258ci straight 6, T150 3spd Trans. First year Jeep (Kaiser-Jeep). Has some rust as seen in pictures. Driver door does not latch correctly. Front seat upholstery and padding are shot. Also, has had gas tank replaced and fill pipe relocated, as seen in pictures. Have not run it long enough to see if all the gauges work, but my guess would be no since it has under dash gauges installed. The truck is all original to the best of my knowledge. It is complete and runs. However, the carburetor will need cleaned from many years of sitting. I have a title that has be signed by the previous owner, however, it was never registered. I bought this truck with the intention of restoring it but have come to the realization I will never have the time. My loss is your gain. If you are looking for a great project truck that will only go up in value, then stop looking, this is it!On Feb-28-15 at 06:38:35 PST, seller added the following information: A very astute Jeep enthusiast has informed me that what I have here is a super rare 2 year only IFS (Independent Front Suspension) Jeep Gladiator. Look it up online. He tells me that he has only encountered 2 in real life, a Wagoneer and a truck and both were at the junkyard. This is the Dana 44 model IFS. Rear axle is Dana 53.I pulled this form an article by Richard TruesdellI've never seen a Gladiator with the SOHC six and IFS, as most Gladiators were built with the standard solid-axle setup. In fact, I've seen only one Wagoneer with IFS. I have added a picture of the front suspension along with a stock photo of the IFS.On Feb-28-15 at 06:54:50 PST, seller added the following information: I own a motorcycle restoration company, Phoenix Precision Restoration, check out our web site. Because of this I work with truckers that deliver all over the world. I can assist you on arranging pickup and delivery, if you do not have a shipping company you currently work with.
