France Motor Cycles (FMC) was a product of badge engineering, as this machine was built by Peugeot and is 99% identical to their P56 model (see attached image of 1949 Peugeot P56 model). This rare French Border Patrol ('DOUANES' is French for customs) bike is in decent condition for its age, the engine starts instantly and runs, the paint as well as the chromed parts are showing age/are not nice, both tires are authentic old Michelin ones, have good profile, only are showing a few ultra small dry-cracks. The front license plate comes separate with the bike and indicates just like the rear one the legal department for French customs (Finance-dept.) and internal registration number. The flash-light and siren are still on, only for legal reasons the wiring loom and control have been been taken off. This bike has never been road-registered and comes with an official European Certificate of Origin, an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium, plus I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I’m offering a special (fully sealed) motorcycle crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US CFS as close as possible to you at my expense, meaning that I will pay for having the bike crated and all handling etc. plus the ocean-freight charge, where you are responsible for all charges at your end, like US entry, port, handling and eventually broker fees.If you want any additional information about this, please ask before you place a bid.
