Vehicle Detail

This is reposted due to an ebayer hitting "buy it now" and coming down to look at it and deciding he didn't want the car after hearing the engine noise described in the description. After some eBay messaging back and forth we decided to just leave each other positive feedback and and move on. This car was NOT sold I still have it. Please come and look at it before hitting "buy it now" It's a huge pain as eBay charges me $125 assuming I sold it. I am 100% upfront on what this car is. It's worth more in used parts then I am asking for it. In new parts (if you were to replicate what I have buy buying all the parts on this car new) it would be well withing the $6,000+ range. Reason I am selling cheap is I have another project I'd like to buy. But I wont let this car go for less than $2,500 in person or $2,625 on eBay. Please read and watch video. For Sale is my 1984 Buick Regal. I bought this for $3,900 on ccraigslistt from Cocoa Beach, Florida and drove it 8 hours back home to Panama City, Florida. Engine developed a noise, ticking or knocking I don't know, but starts and runs. Price is reflection of this. My plan was to install a salvage yard long block(literally $200 at my pick and pull) and sell this for $3900. It will occasionally smoke under certain circumstances (Valve seals? Carb adjustment?). So this is considered a running driving project. I bought it this way and drove it 8 hours home this way. This is not my build. I bought it mostly this way but spent some money on a few new parts. Here are some highlights. 350 Chevy engine, starts every time and runs. Doesn't overheat. Unknown cam. Guessing by past experience its 280-290 plus duration. Has around 9hg vacuum at idle. Aluminum single plane intake Proform stamped aluminum valve covers Holley 650 double pumper Headers 3 row radiator from g-body 350 diesel electric fans Dual Flowmaster exhaust Brand new Accel distributor and brand new accel plug wires and plugs really straight body. literally zero dents or dings All glass good. Perfect. No chips or cracks, or scratches. Really Solid Tremec world class T5 5 speed. Very smooth clutch. No grinds or surprises. It operates exactly like it should and is very healthy. Good clutch. No slipping or shaking or shuttering. Very smooth engagement. The clutch is a late gm A body z-bar from 1978 elcamino. Very hard to find and expensive when found. Genuine Weld wheels. 15x8 rear and 15x6 front. Not knock offs. No curb rash or bends. In great condition. 275/60/15 rear firestone tires with great tread. Good front tires. Chrome Bumpers in really good shape. Hard to find and very good quality. Interior is all there and is fair for the age. Not awful, not show quality. All glass is good no chips or cracks. No rust in quarter panels. Rust repairs in lower corner of doors (like 90% of g-body's) Solid floors trunk and frame. This is a pretty solid car compared to many I saw when looking for a g-bodys under $5000. Like I said before I paid $3900 and put around $350 in new distributor plugs wires misc. Question: Can I Drive it home to (insert where you live here) Answer: I drove this thing 8 hours home and daily drove it for 3 weeks to work recently. BUT there is no way I can guarantee it will make it to your house. This is not my build so I can't vouch for it. It needs tuned bad. It's running rich at idle. And unknown ticking, So drive it home at your risk, or drive it on your trailer to be safe. (My recommendation) It's not tagged or insured so test drives will be by me with you riding shotgun. Or give me $2500 and you can test drive it. If you don't wreck it, or break it and don't want it I'll give you your money back. *PLEASE call or come by and look BEFORE you hit "buy it now". Buy it now means you BOUGHT it. And that price is $2500 if you come before the auction ends and pay, but it is $2625 if you buy it now through ebay due to eBay's fee of $125.* So I am asking $2,500 in person, But Ebay charges me $125 to sell a car. So if you buy it now through eBay the price will be $2,625. That's my bottom dollar, that saves me time from asking $3500 so you can talk me down to my bottom dollar of $2,500. There are $4250+ in just parts alone in this car, much more if I were to factor in new part prices. And if I have to I will just part this thing out. Honestly if I do part it out I'm sure I'd make more than what I am asking. So I am firm on the price. I prefer cash in hand in person you take the car and the open title. If you don't like cash, I will accept other methods of payment (pay pal, cashiers check, money orders ect) but you can't take the car until your payment turns into cash in my hand. Video!
