Thank you for looking at our auction. ATV: This is a 2011 Honda Foreman 500 Manual Shift 4x4 Utility ATV. The Foreman line is Honda's "Work Horse" line of ATV's. It is one of the most dependable ATV's ever made and they literally last a lifetime. It starts with the 500 class, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, OHV four-stroke engine. Surprising torque coupled with the manual shift transmission allows this single cylinder work horse to get the job done with power to spare. There really hasn't been a major engine change within this machine for quite a long time. That's because when you get it right like Honda did with this one, you leave it be. This is one of very few ATV engines that will go beyond 10,000 miles with just regular maintenance. It also has EFI, Electronic Fuel Injection. EFI makes hard cold starting a thing of the past. It automatically adjusts the air/fuel ratio for temperature and altitude so it's always at the correct ratio to provide smooth power delivery as well as easy starting. No choke or carburetor to worry about. Just turn the key, put it in gear, and you're gone. This is a MAJOR improvement for Honda as there is no more extremely cold natured hard starting. One of the best features of this machine is the Electronic Power Steering (EPS). No more fighting the handlebars. Not only does the EPS allow for easier steering, but it actually adds a little bit of safety. Have you ever been riding along and caught a tree root or rock with only one front tire and had the handlebars almost ripped out of your hands? The EPS system will absorb virtually all of this tendency in those types of situations. It is truly amazing how much of a value EPS is once your accustomed to using it. Once you ride a machine with EPS, you'll probably never want to go back to anything without it. This Foreman is the Manual Shift version. Manual shift is a great option because there are no expensive hydraulic pump transmissions to replace, no electric motors to short out, or any belts to slip and wear out. To be clear, even though you do shift gears with your foot, there is NO clutch lever to operate with your hand. These are the ultimate in simplicity and allow complete control of what gear your machine stays in at any given time. Unlike many older Honda vehicles, these Foreman models can be taken in and out of 4 wheel drive simply by sliding a lever on the side of the gas tank. This allows for easier steering and less wear and tear on the machine itself. Of course digital instrumentation, racks, and a trailer hitch are standard equipment. If you are reading this you probably know about Honda's legendary quality. We get to work on and ride every ATV out there and the simple truth is that Honda's are simply a better made product than the competition. Of course it does come with a clean title. Condition: This machine is in great condition. It has 2653 original miles and 245 engine hours of use. The engine is perfect and runs great. The chassis and suspension are in excellent shape with nothing damaged, bent, or broken. It revs perfectly and runs great with no misses, noises, leaks, or smoke. The brakes all function perfectly and the suspension is nice and tight with no play in the wheel bearings, tie-rod ends, etc.The tires are brand new and the wheels look great.This machine does have some normal scratches here and there, but this is a used machine so that should be expected. The only blemishes to mention are three places where the camo coating has peeled off a little. This is very common for Honda's camouflage machines. The left and right rear fenders and just above the headlight are the places where this has occurred and we have provided pictures so you can see exactly what they look like. There are absolutely zero cracks or broken plastic and this machine obviously hasn't been rolled or wrecked. Overall, it is a very nice ATV that seems to have been well maintained and looked after. We have even provided additional pictures below so you can see exactly what this machine looks like. Anyone who buys this machine is going to get a GREAT Foreman at a GREAT price. However, we are not a wholesaler and we do have to charge sales tax the same as if you are a retail customer. If you are a licensed powersports dealer that's one thing, otherwise we will have to charge sales tax as outlined below. Please keep this in mind when considering placing bids on our items. If you have any questions or concerns about whether or not you should or shouldn't have to pay sales tax, PLEASE call us before bidding. Details: Overall this is a very nice ATV that will make someone very happy. As for transaction details, We are MLS Powersports, located in Georgetown, Kentucky (40324). We are right off Interstate 75, 15 miles North of Lexington, KY and 75 miles South of Cincinnati, OH. Our preference is that you pick this machine up with cash in person, but we will also accept a certified check, or bank to bank wire transfer. It MUST be paid for (not necessarily picked up) within 7 days of the auctions close. We are willing to ship it but you must make the arrangements. If you pick this ATV up in person, we are required by law to charge you 6% Kentucky sales tax. We will provide the winner with a KY Certificate of Sales tax paid. When you title this ATV in your home state they WILL credit the 6% back to you and you will only have to pay the difference (if there is any) to your local sales tax. (Except in West Virginia) We do this all the time, do not worry, you will not have to pay sales tax twice. If you have it delivered to you, anywhere outside of Kentucky, you do not have to pay Kentucky sales tax but may still have to pay sales tax in your home state. The only other exception to this sales tax rule is a valid state exemption for farm/agricultural use. If we ship, it must be paid in full first. This machine comes with a clean title that is ready to transfer. It will also come with a bill of sale and proof of being lien free. You are welcome to inspect it as long and well as you like before finalizing the deal, but it is used and sells as-is. Canadian Bidders: We sell many ATV's to Canada because it saves you a lot of money. We know the paperwork requirements and what it takes to get it done. However, it is very expensive to have an ATV shipped from door to door due to customs broker fees. If you pick it up yourself or have it shipped to a border town and do your own border crossing you will save thousands vs buying in Canada. We also have a shipper we can direct you to who has many warehouses along the border where it can be shipped to and stored until you pick it up.
