42,900 USD Ordered by The Porsche Exchange for a local Doctor, he requested M-158 Blaupunkt Monterey radio (since upgraded), M-220, Locking Differential, M-341 Central locking system, M-395 Fuchs 16" alloy wheels, M-454 Cruise Control, M-473 Carrera Spoilers Front and Rear, M-473 Power Drivers Seat, M-633 Alarm system (Integrated w/ central locks), M-650 Electric sliding Sunroof, and C0-2 US Federal Emissions equipment. He further instructed them to paint it with L700 Black for the exterior, while specifying interior leather and trim to be Champagne in color, with carpets deviated to Black in order match the stunning exterior. Back in 1987, it was a very well thought out list of options and colors, and has proven to be the most desirable combination to date! He continued ownership of his precious Carrera through the years, moving to Nevada, California, and finally back to Illinois, when in 2005 at 94k. miles, he sold it to an executive in Florida. The second owner was no less diligent in his efforts to preserve this classic Carrera coupe... We have just had our local Porsche-Guru, Heistand Automotive, complete any needed servicing...They replaced hood and deck struts, the heater blower motor, the idle control stabilizer, then purged the r-12 from the A/C system, converting the air conditioning to r-134a, replaced the tires, tuned it, and did a full emissions and inspection certification. It has truly been kept up while maintaining its originality, if fact, we've been hard pressed to find much deviation from stock, other than an upgrade to Bilstein Sport shocks, a stainless sport muffler that emulates the 930 turbo cars, and an upgraded radio.
