Get ready for spring and summer with this very nice 1981 VW Rabbit. Recently replaced top, restored seats and one repaint. No dents. Excellent condition tires. This is a West German made car. Runs and looks very good True miles are unknown but are low based on the overall great condition and lack of wear on this car. The odometer stopped running with the previous owner at around 40,000. From what I have read, this was a very common issue with these cars. This has been a nice day, car cruise and Sunday driver for us and the previous owners. Not driven in bad weather, not rusted, garage kept and from a non-smoker. These cars are great on gas and are a lot of fun to drive. We bought this car used a few years ago. Besides regular oil changes, I replaced the tires in 2011 as the original tires had a lot of tread left but were about ten years old at the time. New battery in late 2012 and new plugs in 2014. It has been a fun car to own and drive. We are now helping to pay college tuition for two and we are selling the Rabbit to help offset that expense. This car is not expensive to insure as it is a classic car. I pay under $120 a year for great coverage with collision.
