Vehicle Detail

I have a 1965 Mustang Coupe, 289(4.7L) Auto (C4) Rear wheel drive (Ford 8 Inch). I found this car in Missouri a few months ago, car was barely running, needed a carb, I purchased the car and drove it home to Arkansas. I was told that it was a numbers matching car, but could not verify, I do know that the front fender has been changed. The original door tag is in the car with the vin, listing it as a C Code v8 car, with a 2 barrel. The intake is a 1965 2 barrel intake and the transmission, motor and rear end are all appropriate for the year. Car is not equipped with power steering, power brakes or air conditioning, again this is how it came out from the factory. Car is even the same paint code as listed. Car has original interior, it is pretty decent, the carpet could be cleaned or replaced and the headliner is torn in the back. The metal dash is unmolested, even has the FOMO AM Radio and I tested it and it worked. Car does not have any speakers in it though. I replaced the dash pad and have all of the dash pad chrome trim for the car. It has the original wheel and gauges, they all seem to work, the duct for the vents is all there and it blows hot air. The heater and defrost work as do all of the vents. The lights in the dash work and right now the lights are stuck on for the oil and alternator due to a short in the wiring somewhere. Headlights and wipers function, one side of the blinkers work, I imagine the other side is just burned out. Brake lights also work and the horn is not hooked up. The engine runs, it starts without issue and I recently timed it to nine degrees advanced. The valve covers were shot and have been replaced with chrome Moroso, new A45 Plugs and wires, New distributor, Accel points eliminator was installed so it now has electronic ignition, I also installed the Accel blaster coil. It has a new battery, new belts, new fluid, new wiring, new oil pressure sending switch, new solenoid, and starter. I replaced the fuel pump(manual) and fuel filter, I removed and flushed the fuel tank, replaced the fuel float and sending unit. Exhaust manifolds have new gaskets and I replaced the cast intake with a four barrel Weiand 8020 intake. I still have the old intake cast in 1965 and there is nothing wrong with it. Has a brand new Edelbrock Street 500cfm carburetor on top of it, with electric choke. Car will fire right up with no problem and drive around the block. I have not driven it far since the oil pressure gauge is not working. Car needs duel exhaust put on it, right now it has single out the back. Car has drum brakes all around and could use a brake job I am sure. I have the factory 14 inch tires and the matching pony hub caps, I also have American Racing Torque Thrust M's on the car, they are 16's, the company sent me the wrong size, so I had to use a spacer, they are brand new and have brand new BFG tires, 225's in the rear and 205's in the front. The car will need the rear leaf spring replaced, it seems to be sagging on the driver side. I do not know the history on this car, the OD says 20K miles, could be original or could be 120K. I do know that this car is pretty straight and the body panels are all good, even the trunk and inner rear fender wells are good. Car will need some work and need to be due to the oil pressure gauge not working and the brakes. I will not be responsible for the car after it is sold. I do not know much about it and am offering no warranty. I am located right in the middle of the United States in NWA, the buyer will need to set up transportation. Payment will need to be made with a cashiers check or cash only, sorry to many scams, I barely trust Paypal, but a 200 dollar deposit through paypal will be required within 48 hours of the auction closing, I am a real person and I will not ship overseas or anything weird like that, again sorry. Car will need paint and some other stuff, but it is about 85-90 percent ready to go.On Feb-11-15 at 09:49:12 PST, seller added the following information: I have lowered the reserve to 5600, But will only include the stock wheels and hubcaps, not the American Racing Wheels shown. PLEASE NOTE, If the price goes to the full reserve I had asked of 6100 I will include the American Racing Wheels and tires.
