Vehicle Detail

Up for bids is a 99 Suburban. It has a about 178 thousand miles on it. There are lots of little things wrong with it. The air conditioning doesn't work. If you fill it with refrigerant it will leak back out in a couple weeks. The backseat driver side door and the back cargo door do not automatically lock. The antilock brake indicator on the dash is always lit. So is the "check engine" light. I've never paid them much attention. There is some rust in the quarter panels and the rear bumper. It does start right up, go with no problems and the brakes work well. It has four wheel drive and will go in any weather conditions. It also has the towing package. I've towed all kinds of stuff with this sucker. Last August I drove it down to South Carolina, loaded up a uhaul trailer full of pinball machines and drove it right home through mountains of West Virginia with no problems. It has a lot of cargo room and adults can actually sit in the back seat with no problems. I put a new battery in last month and the tires are fairly new. I'd say less than twenty thousand miles but I'm not that sure. The brakes are fairly new. The water pump was replaced about two years ago. The guy I bought it off had it short blocked (on an extended warranty program) about three or four years ago. The fuel gauge doesn't work properly. It is pegged on full until you get down to about a quarter tank. Then it works. It has a really big gas tank. I think it is 43 gallons but I'm not that sure. I have definitely put close to forty gallons in myself. Since the fuel gauge doesn't work that well I usually reset the trip meter when I fill it up. Once I get over three hundred miles on it I just stop and fill it back up. On Sunday, January 25th I went out to the garage, started it up cold (it hadn't been run in a few days) then took it for a ride. I posted a youtube video so you could see how it works.
