I will note that the check engine lights reads an error code for EGR, exhaust gas recirculation. This is around $300 repair. Timing belt service was done at just under 84,000 miles and the water pump was replaced then as well. This was done in July 2010. I have the owners manual. I have both key fobs. One is working with the immobilizer in the car. The other would need to be programmed to align with the transponder/immobilizer. The center console does not stay in a locked position and the plastic tabs expose the locking mechanism. All four tires were replaced in November 2011. The vehicle report indicates "minor incident." I had a few fender benders, and had the front bumper entirely replaced in summer of 2006. The bumper is in great condition and there's never been any severe accidents. If I could I would drive this car until 250k miles-- Jetta TDIs have a reputation of lasting this long. I get 40 mpg; diesel gets great mileage. It's a smooth ride.
