1963 Volkswagen Panel Bus with a Safari window Camper conversion for sale!! This is a BEAUTIFUL VW Panel Bus with many custom touches fully restored 4 years ago with nothing left untouched! This is a turn key custom lowered custom panel that needs nothing! Just turn the key and go! Rides flawlessly with no rubbing or skidding. Motor and trans runs/shifts perfectly with only 6500 miles since complete rebuild on drivetrain. This engine/5 speed tranny combo will cruise at 70MPH at 3350 RPM for optimal performance and cooling. YES a Berg 5-speed! All windows, doors, weather stripping, bolts, door strikers, and hardware removed prior to paint and color sanding. Original keys operate everything except a replacement key is used for the cargo door. It even has reverse lights :) Everything operates as it should. EVERYTHING. A very loud horn to boot! Please read below for the specifics and STOP YOUR DROOLING!! Body and Interior: Complete minor rust repair with new floor sections in the cargo area and passenger floors. Two outriggers replaced as well as both rocker panels. This was over kill considering the level of light rust but the previous owner wanted to do it right. Safari windows on the front and rear with a custom sliding partition window behind the driver seat. Side view mirrors, painted bumpers, and emblems. Paint is VW Pacific Blue with VW Pearl White. Refurbished original 3/4 roof rack included! Classic Industries aftermarket gauges, Sony digital media player model# DSX-S210X with I-Pod/phone connect. Your music device whether it be a I-Phone, I-Pod or whatever you chose hides away inside the stereo head unit when connected. Flip the stereo display face back up and control your music. Speakers and tweeters in front doors with speakers, tweeters, and subs in the rear pounding out the tunes! This thing will blow out your ear drums! Full thermal and acoustic insulation, ABS interior panels with foam and nylon tweed cover. ABS with foam and vinyl headliner in rear and a modified Z-Bed for full queen bed comfort! 110 volts plug in with inverter and an additional power port mounted in engine bay. Three point retractable front belts and two point retractable belts in the rear. Custom leather and tweed seating that looks fantastic! Suspension/Brakes/Wheels: Front dropped spindles with Porsche 944 single piston disc brakes and a late model bus vacuum assisted master cylinder and reservoir. New aftermarket front sway bar, new shocks, new spindle bushings, new tie rod ends, and new stainless steel hardware. Late model bus independent rear suspension with new drum brakes, new brake lines, new cylinders, new drums, new shoes, new bearings, new CV joints, new seals, new rear shocks, and new rear torsion arm bushings. Front Porsche 944 hubs modified for a Mercedes wheel bolt pattern with Mercedes CLK aluminum polished wheels. Tires are Yokohama 175/50/16 in the front and 225/50/16 in the rear. No rubbing! Engine: 78.8mm Scat forged crank, 90.5mm forged Mahle pistons, 2028cc displacement, FK41 Engle cam, Scat lifters and 1.4:1 ratio rockers, new engine case, Scat H-beam rods, 42 x 37.5 DRD heads, Berg heavy duty oil pump, doghouse cooler with Kymco cooler and thermostatically controlled fan. 12-volt alternator (50 AMP), all new wiring harness, and a aftermarket Centech fuse box. Engine components dynamically balanced. Scat fly wheel and pressure plate with a powder coated engine detail. Two barrel progressive Weber carb, electronic choke and manifold heat. A-1 Performance 1-1/2" header, new performance 1-1/2" heater boxeswith a custom Magnaflow muffler. Holly electric fuel pump with external regulator. Serpentine belt conversion on a full flow motor. Transmission: Berg 5-speed with a new Rhino case, new bearings, new gears, new synchros, and R/P. Welded 3rd and 4th gears, and a Quaife torque biasing differential. Gearing is 1st - 3.78, 2nd - 2.21, 3rd - 1.48, 4th - 1.04, and fifth gear is .77. R/P is 4.375:1. Berg locking shifter, transaxle stabilizer mounts, and a heavy duty side plates. You have to come see this Panel Bus in person. It looks fantastic and is a dream to drive. It does have it's very minor flaws here and there as one would expect. There is a crack in the paint on the left rear quarter panel and three very small minor dings on the driver side panel. The paint is not chipped here and the dings can be removed by a professional dent repair facility. A couple of the wheels have small curb rash and the wheels can use a polishing. I used a magnet to test for body filler and it sticks everywhere very nicely except the left rear corner panel. There must be filler here hence the one crack. Other than that this Bus is a pure WOW factor! Just look at these photos closely and you will see the detail.
