This has been a work truck for our painting business since my Dad bought the chassis in 1965 and transfered the body from another truck to it. He had the body custom built in 1951. It is 14 feet long within the body. The ladder racks are removable. We have used it to haul ladders and scaffolding to our jobs. We stopped using it in 2007 because we were no longer doing the larger jobs that this truck was so handy at hauling equipment for. In 2007 we had it Illinois Safety tested at which time we put on two new front tires (they have less than 30 miles on them) After that year we had no need for the truck so we did not re-license it. It still starts and runs fine. There is some rust but nothing that keeps it from being driven and used. The front seat is torn and worn- it could use some repair. I am retiring and need to get our shop cleaned out and equipment sold. The engine is a 330 V8 with a manual 4 speed. Dual wheels in back. There is a tarp that covers the body of the truck- not sure of its condition because we have not had it on the truck in 30 years but it has been garage kept just as the truck has been garage kept all of its life except for two months when we had it on a job site. Lights all work but one marker light is missing a cover. It has been a great work truck for us. Local Pickup Only.
