Vehicle Detail
1959 Studebaker Lark hardtop. I'm cleaning out my old project cars and need to let this one go. The old flat head motor was removed and replaced with a very dependable 235 Chevy 6 and auto. trans.out of a early 70's pickup. It starts and runs very smooth, no leakes, no smoke, runs cool, etc. The car came from desert country here in Calif. (Black Plates) It is very solid and complete. The only rust (besides surface) is in the typlical front front fender rocker. Replacement (weld in) pieces our easily attained through several Studebaker parts suppliers. Or good old bondo. Otherwise the floors are solid, no rust around windows and the trunk is solid too. Two original wheels are in the trunk. Parts are easy to get for these cars and extra easy for the chevy motor. Excuse me for not cleaning the car better for the pictures! I just decided to sell after owning several years and just broke out the camera. I am going to put a very reasonable reserve, as it is too nice to give away, but I will sell to the highest, fair, bidder. The car is being sold with a Bill of Sale, it has not been registered in over 20 years, so even in Calif. it can be registered with a bill of sale and verification of vehicle form. I can assist with knowledge but buyer must pay. The car will drive and easily loaded on a trailer or transport. I can assist with that worldwide but again at the buyers expence. Car is being as is, with no warrany. Locals can contact me to see and drive, however without license we'll need to stay on the property. On Jan-06-15 at 18:36:02 PST, seller added the following information: I was asked, so looked over car good for missing parts.. The only missing part I found was the Lark emblem on the drivers side. They are readily available from several sources. Just Google Studebaker parts and you will be amazed. The engine fits in so perfectly, if you added a Studebaker Decal to the valve cover only real Studebaker people would even know it isn't original. The motor is in excellent shape and is super dependable. The gas tank is clean and it has good brakes. A nw battery today, Happy bidding, the reserve has been met and she is ready for a new home! Anyone want more pictures or desciptions please do not hesitate to ask.On Jan-08-15 at 15:39:06 PST, seller added the following information: I added some requested pictures of under the hood and trunk. Again no clean up, sorry. The motor fits in very nice, you'd think it came in the car. Any rusty discoloration you see is very solid metal with surface rust only.
