Vehicle Detail
Hello and welcome to my auction. I am the 4th owner of this awesome Boxster S, that has sadly been in an accident. This is a great opportunity for someone to use as a Parts Car, Part Out Car, Track Car, or if your state will allow you to title it, a project car. NOTE: I had planned to keep and repair this vehicle myself as I truly love it, however due to VA DMV law, if the vehicle damages are up to 90% of the evaluated value of the vehicle, the vehicle can no longer be titled or registered in Virginia. Therefore this car is being sold as PARTS ONLY. It will not come with a title but instead a ‘Non-repairable certificate’. For more information on this visit http://www.dmv.org/va-virginia/salvaged-vehicles.php Note there is NO FRAME damage. The tub/frame was inspected by Porsche Service center and found to be not damaged. The front end (Front truck, headlights, etc) were dissembled during the estimate and evaluation of the damages, no parts are missing and all parts are included with the sale of the vehicle and are in excellent condition (i.e. headlights, carpets, etc). Pictures available by request. The story of the accident is as follows, I let a friend drive the vehicle (I was in the passenger seat). As he made a left hand turn from a stoplight, during which he lost rear traction (traction control was turned off and Sport mode was on, ugh!), over corrected and the car spun. We slid over the curb and sidewalk at approximately 10-15 mph. I have attached pictures from the actual accident. The airbags did NOT deploy and are intact. Even though the accident was relatively minor and at low-speed, the force of hitting the curb was sufficient damage various suspension components. The front fenders were also pushed out of alignment and have some minor ‘flaring’. Below is a quick snapshot of the damages. Please contact me if you would like to see the full estimate report. The main damage is:· Both Driver side rims and tires· Drivers side Front Lower Control Arm· Drivers Axle / LT Knuckle· Drivers side Front Strut/shock· Tie Rod These areas are *potentially* damaged:· Steering Gear Assembly· Suspension Cross member
· Front Fenders· Front Bumper This Boxster S was meticulously maintained and in extraordinary condition, you will not be disappointed with the condition of the vehicle. Besides the front suspension damage the car is in perfect working condition. The engine runs strong, all electronics, including the convertible top, etc have no issues.
