1998 BMW 528i I am selling this BMW as is. The engine runs well as I was driving it everyday until I parked it for the last time due to a large coolant leak on the back side of the engine. I have not had it looked at, but I do not believe it is a hose. However, it is not the head gasket. I was commuting in it 35+ miles a day until the leak. The front struts need replacing as well as one of the outer tie rods. The driver’s side window needs a new cable, but the motor is fine. The driver’s side rear window does not work, and I have not pulled it apart to see why yet. I am not aware of any rust other than a smaller than dime size area on the trunk lid where it was previously filled and painted, prior to my ownership. Windshield wipers stopped working although I do not know why. I believe the ignition switch also needs to be replaced, but the car does start. The paint on the hood and roof is beginning to fade. The spark plugs were replaced approximately 1 year before I stopped driving the car. I also replaced the valve cover gasket. I intended to fix the car up and continue using it but ended up getting another car and have not had the time or additional money to do so. I purchased new Bilstein struts for the front, one tie rod assembly and driver’s side window regulator, but have not installed them, and will be glad to sell those separately. This has been one of my favorite cars to drive and have kept it with the hopes of getting it back on the road, but it is time to let it go. I’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have.
