Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my rare California Classic 1965 Ford Falcon Ranchero, Super cool car/truck, this one has the 200 c.i. inline six, and automatic transmission, in the classic wimbledon white. She's pretty much original and sits stock height on four lug steel ford wheels, with original dogdish caps, and stainless trim rings (includes the spare) tires are excellent, although the brakes are drum, they function as they should. It runs excellent, has new rebuilt carb, and was tuned and maintained by ise auto here in hollywood, ca (their expertise is in classic mustangs) Paint is very good, was bead blasted and painted 5 years ago. body is super straight, when you look down the sides of this truck, the faceted design of the 64 and 65 falcon line really looks true and straight. the chrome bumpers and grille are perfect. The bed has a fresh tough herculiner finish in it. The interior is pretty basic, minimal and done to a simple raw so-cal look. Steering wheel was recently restored, there is no carpet, but has floor mats. I opted to finish the floor with the herculiner bedliner as well, the dash looks fresh, and there are no extraneous holes drilled out. For the door panels, I water jet cut 1/8" aluminum stock and riveted them in place, and have a steel wooled finish. The headliner is pretty good, not ripped. The bench seat, needs upholstery for sure , but the springs are good and is not totally trashed.I was going to re-upholster but never got around to it, but included in the sale, is a set of retro three point aviation style seatbelts in red, and a set of hard to find original headrests from a 1970 ranchero, with all the additional hardware needed (they are in very good condition). I will also include the vintage native american pendleton blanket pictured ; ) If one wanted to go with the original look it would be no problem, full interior kits are available from dearborn classics. some basics: all glass is perfect, windows roll up and down as they should (rear glass has a very nice quality tint film) fuel, oil, temp and speedo gauges work, original radio does not work, all lights work windshield wipers work (new blades included) door locks do not work there is a little rust at the drip rails, under the paint, very common for these gas tank is cleaned out and not rusty (very important) tailgate works as it should horn does not work included is the very expensive original gas cap, and a lockable gas cap as well two sets of keys included bonus milkcrate of falcon ranchero goodies collected from pomona fairgounds and other venues included (please don't ask specifics of this) basically extra trim bits, (pictured) the truck is currently registered and driven daily This a fun little truck, to take to the beach, the local diner, or to tool around wherever you want to go in style Terms: This is a classic truck, and is being offered in as-is condition, I have tried to describe to the best of my ability, please ask any questions you may have. It is also being offered locally and may be removed early from bidding a $500 non-refundable deposit with paypal deposit is required within 48 hours, and balance in certified check or bank transfer.
