ATTENTION! Listing with a start price of $100 and NO reserve!! Must sell and it goes where it goes!! For sale is a very rare find... a low mileage southern diesel pickup. It is a 2001 Ford F250 with the good ol 7.3 liter diesel engine. This truck is a 4 door crew cab 4 wheel drive with power everything and leather seats. Only 112,551 miles on this truck. Located in Opelika Alabama. It has lots of extras... a B & W turnover ball gooseneck hitch that stores upside down when not in use so the bed is flat... a Rhino Lining spray on bedliner... A Rollback Tonneau locking bed cover to secure items in the bed... running boards... and a Diablo performance chip was installed. I purchased this truck in late December of 2003 from the first owner. He had all of the extras installed except for the turnover gooseneck hitch, which i had professionally installed. He was only selling because he wanted one of the new 6.0 liter diesels that ford came out with at that time... I am certain he regretted this decision, but i really enjoyed this truck so at least one of us was happy! I bought this truck to take my kids on hunting trips and camping, as well as to pull my gooseneck equipment trailer hauling my food plot tractor to my property and back. The trailer and tractor have recently been sold and we no longer need the truck. This truck was an extra vehicle for us, which i drove to work once every few weeks just to run it. The most recent work I have done on the truck was last year when I installed two new Ford Motorcraft batteries and a new starter. Truck runs perfectly, pulled my 24 foot equipment trailer with 6k pound tractor like it wasn't even behind it... loads of power. The B&W turnover hitch is great... stores upside down to have a flat bed when not in use... I love the rollback cover, it is great for camping trips or driving cross country... it protects items from weather and theft. And the spray on bedliner is as tough as nails. Has a 6 wire trailer hookup for the bumper, plus the 4 flat converter, plus a 7 wire trailer hookup in the side of the bed for use with a gooseneck trailer or 5th wheel camper. So, on a used truck there are always little problems, right? Well, I am going to do something that most sellers will NOT do... I have listed the issues with the truck below... I prefer to explain all the problems up front before you bid rather than deal with hearing from you later. Those used "mint" condition trucks that you see for sale will have issues just like mine, and sometimes worse... difference is that I am telling you up front so you KNOW what you are getting. I am also showing photos of many of the issues, which most sellers will NOT do... So here are the issues with the truck. 1) Plastic wheel well was damaged when passenger side front tire lost part of its tread about 5 or 6 years ago. The plastic cracked and separated from the fender (see pic), so i put a short stainless steel screw through it to hold it. This is really cosmetic damage, it has caused no issues since it happened. 2) The 2 short plastic trim pieces on the top rear of the cab came off (see pic). These are thin plastic which are purely cosmetic and i have had no leaks or anything since they came off and so i have not replaced them. You don't even notice unless you are looking right at them. 3) The top of the corner of the rollback cover railing was bent up a little, but it does not impact the function (see pic). 4) Carpet has some staining from being a family vacation vehicle. Not bad staining, but a professional cleaning of the inside would work wonders. I have not had time to get that done.5) Tires need to be replaced very soon. If I were keeping it, then I would replace tires immediately after bringing it home. 6) The 4 flat trailer wire connector does not work properly, so I am including a 4 flat converter that I use that plugs into the 6 wire plug. 7) The 5 disk CD player says "disk error" when you try to eject the cds that are in it... also says the same thing when you try to play the cds... the radio still works just fine but the cd player needs to be repaired. 8) There is a large spot and one small spot on the passenger side where the clearcoat has begun to come off (see pic of rear panel). This is the only are where clearcoat has started to come off for some reason. 9) There are a number of little scratches on the body, as with any used vehicle. 10) There is a cut in the side of the drivers seat where i accidentally cut it with a hunting knife (see pic).11) Keep in mind this is a used vehicle, so there is an extremely small oil drip as can be expected on any used vehicle. I have NEVER had to add ANY fluids to the vehicle between oil changes and transmission services. You will not find any vehicle that is over 10 years old that doesnt have a little oil drip...12) Wheels have staining from brake dust, dirt, etc. (see pic) I have not had time to get the vehicle professionally detailed, just did a quick wash myself. 13. There are a couple of small pushes on the tailgate... you have to look at the right angle even to see them because they are so small.14. There is a scrape on the lower rear fender of the driver's side where my atv grazed it and pushed it in a little. (see pic) 15. Both plastic frames of the mirrors were cracked when i used "strap on" mirror extenders while pulling our camper trailer. Outside edge of each one is cracked, but it is purely cosmetic and has never impacted the function of the mirrors in any way. I only used those mirror extensions one time and found out i really didnt need them anyway. (see pic) Please note I am willing to give my mechanic's number to all SERIOUS buyers... and he is willing to speak to anyone about the truck. He is the only mechanic that has worked on it and he is a Ford mechanic. He is very good, and more importantly, i have found him to be trustworthy in his business dealings... always gives me the straight scoop on things. He will tell you that i always fix what needs fixin. Terms of sale. $500 deposit must be made through paypal within 2 days of auction end. Balance to be paid either with cash at time of pick up or with certified check from a major bank located in Auburn or Opelika Alabama... if by certified bank check we will drive to a branch of that bank where the bank will verify authenticity of check and once check is verified, i will sign over title there at the bank. I prefer Wells Fargo bank, but any major bank in the Opelika/Auburn area will be fine. Truck must be picked up within 2 weeks of auction close... i prefer within one week. If you see vehicle and think something was not as described in this listing then i will refund your deposit and we part ways on good terms. It is a great truck and you won't be disappointed, but i want buyers to be completely happy. Now, if you change your mind for some other reason, such as your wife does not want you to buy it after all, then i will NOT refund the deposit because of the wasting of my time and trouble to relist, so please only bid if you are a SERIOUS buyer. For those long distance buyers that want to fly in to get the truck, please note that I will gladly pick you up at the Montgomery airport... please don't ask me to get you at birmingham or atlanta... the montgomery airport is small and very easy to get in and out of in no time and is only 45 minutes from my house. Feel free to call or text me for any questions... 334 524 1344 and ask for jeff. On Dec-05-14 at 05:39:40 PST, seller added the following information: Please note that I will be home all weekend the 6th. I encourage all potential buyers to come and look at the truck. Call or text for directions.
