Vehicle Detail

I have a 1969 Pontiac Lemans Convertible that is in process of restoration . All the body work is 100 % done , it's not your typical sand and prime job . I stripped the whole car to bare metal , put it in full etch primer and worked each body panel . This car originally had rust free solid fenders , doors, rockers and floor. Car did have some rust in back half of car only . The rust was around the wheels and front and rear of wheels with pinholes in trunk floor . I replaced the full trunk floor , 1/4 to trunk inner braces and put patch panels in lower 1/4 panels . I retained as much of the original 1/4 panels sheet metal to maintain correct appearance of 1/4s bowing out more on a convertible for the folding top , which is often missed when putting coupe 1/4,s on. Something else often missed that really bugs me when I see a restored car is the inside of the trunk where people forget about finishing the 1/4 panel patch panels . I have smoothed out the welds and bodywork so you can not tell the lower 1/4 panels have been replaced . The body has been blocked sanded and primed 4 times with 2k urethane primer ( not cheap) and now is ready for final scuff and paint . During restoration process I got the bug up my butt to make it a GTO I have everything to convert / clone what ever the correct way of saying changing it to a GTO is . I have a complete endura front bumper with hideaway headlights , an original OEM GTO hood with tach and both open ram air scoops and closed scoops, dual snorkel air cleaner , GTO deck lid , Black GTO door trim panels with emblems GTO wood steering wheel with black center cap and even a rebuilt 69 400 motor . I even went as far as welding up the Lemans rear side markers to cut in correct GTO rear side marker lights I have for it . I have pretty much everything else good or new to complete restoration including having original hood hinges rebuilt . I bought it as a driver needing restoration eight years ago . In its present condition I do occasionally take it out around the neighborhood . I have over 10K invested NOT including my off and on eight years of labor . Doing the simple math of just hard cash I have 5500.00 in purchase of car , 1000 for new brakes , coil springs and Uniroyal Tiger Paw RWL tires. 2000.00 in GTO parts. 250 in powder coated rad support and wheel well panels parts, 750 .00 new sheet metal in trunk floor , inner panels and 1/4 patch panels and at least 1500.00 in new and used parts including a new gas tank already installed. More about the car it self , it has an Olds 350 in it now and the Pontiac 400 will need to be installed. It is a factory air , bucket seat car. It was Mayfair Maze with rare gold interior. Dash is perfect . I have a floor shift tilt column for it and GTO 120 MPH cluster with clock. I have a 68 his n hers hurst shifter and console besides the original 1969 Le Mans parts. The Gold interior is useable but the front seats are black and dry needing the Gold seat covers, door trim panels are also black from an original GTO . I do have the original front Lemans bumper as well as the rear bumper both of which are in good condition. The top is not rusted has new hydraulic lines and works great but does need new cloth . I do have all new weatherstrips for it though. Tires are new with big ass P275/60R15 rear and P225/70/R14 front . The whole front suspension and front frame has been stripped to bare metal and painted chassis black along with new front and rear coil springs that gives it that mean muscle car stance . The main floor has been sanded smooth and spray can bed liner material sprayed on to keep it solid no soft floor on this car . I do have some video documentation of the restoration thus far and can prove everything said. This is the best kind of restoration project to take over all the hard tedious expensive work is done but yet you still have the opportunity to finish it out as your own. Located in Broken Arrow Okla inspections are welcomed and preferred . It does have a clear Okla title . Feel free to call or text me David at 918-906-5684 for anymore info or pics .As mentioned this is a running driving project car but not street legal and will need to be trailered . It does have an up to date Non running black tag registration . I am opening bidding up at a reasonable fair price without a reserve , first bid buys it . I am not one of those guys that sees NADA values and thinks my unfinished project car is worth that . I have proved my cars worth even though some might think its unreasonable but go look at what a rusty 69 Lemans Convertible driver is selling for? and add up what it will cost to get it to this point... More than 10K , This is a bargain .A pay pal deposit of 500.00 is due within 24 hours of auction ending and balance within 7 days of auction ending . Sale is final please bid if your serious . I will assist with shipping but buyer is responsible for all arrangements and shipping costs. 11-28-14 I added guide coat photos, these are old and car is in full primer ready to paint now.Due to overwhelming requests for a Buy It Now price I will add one if I don't have at least one bid by this eve. Seems like quite a few people want it but don't want to bid till closer to the end of auction.
