Vehicle Detail
1987 Buick T Type Turbo Not sure why people who swear they have to have this car cant just step up and Bid like auctions are for, so now that Im relisting it due to non paying bidder. If you have a Black GN in the garage, this would look great sitting next to it and it could be a car you get to drive everyday and not feel bad about it :) LOW RESERVE , so low Im sure it will be hit, then the real bidders can battle it out in the end. ONLY bid if you are serious about buying the car. I do email bidders to see if they are legit too, if I get no reply, I have to cancel your bid, period. Up for auction, the best Yr Turbo Regal Turbo made This being a T Type is actually far more rare then an actual Grand National , which is basically the same car, just not black. WE4 code only 1547 where made and not all where white. How many unmolested survivors are really left on the road 25+ yrs later ? Most where run into the ground cleaning up the streets or local tracks now with replacement engines or worse. This car was ordered from Royal Buick here in Tucson in Nov of 1986 The original owner (who I got the car from) took delivery of it in FEB of 1987. The whole history of this car is still known by him and what I can recall Ill post in the description. He really took great care of the car on what he had control of and the interior for example shows great and looks almost new. Everything works like its suppose the best I can tell. Ive been driving the car around town and did a few road trips and back putting over 500 miles on the car myself. The original owner took delivery in Feb of 87. It was then parked between 92-roughly 98. It was back on the road a few yrs and parked again in about 2006. It was again brought out of retirement a few months ago and runs awesome. like a raped ape :) AC not blowing cold anymore, but shouldnt be a big deal, not unusual seeing as its not been service in a few yrs. When the original owner took delivery of the car the dealership told him the front half and back half of the car was repainted due to some scratches or something happened in shipment. There is no bondo on the car but he thinks it was something to do with scratches on the paint. That said the paint on the car done at the dealer didnt fair to well. You are looking at what the Az sun has done to the car and this car was garaged most of its life too. So it will obviously need paint, but whats great about the car looking like this you can take it anywhere and not worry about it getting scratched :) and it makes the car even more of a sleeper. Only people who know T Types would even look twice at racing this monster. The original muffler was replaced about 15 yrs ago with an almost equivalant Walker Dynomax, so no power loss and still sounds almost bone stock. A new fuel pump was also installed several yrs back. The original wheels where REMOVED (see pics) when the car had about 10 miles on them and thats when the Centerlines where put on. If there is a winner they can have the OE rims which I can install for free using the current BFG tires, or they can have both sets of rims for an extra $400. And that includes the original caps and lugs too. New plugs where installed recently but everything under the hood looks and is all believed to be 95% stock and or how it came off the showroom. Even parts replaced over the yrs, the original owner always tried to use GM only parts for that reason. DRIVETRAIN: under the hood is the original matching #s motor 3.8 TURBO backed with an OD auto trans and rear end. As mentioned runs and drives great, without really trying this car still gets a 2nd gear chirp, and under hard throttle, the rear tires can break loose a little if you are not careful. INTERIOR: as mentioned earlier on this car when parked has always been in a garage and you can tell when you look at the interior. Only stain I saw was a little in the trunk carpet where something spilled yrs ago. Rest of it is almost like new. In the pics for some reason the interior looks sort of blue, but in person it looks more grey. Check the RPO codes to see what they call it. EXTERIOR: we went over this earlier, about 70% of the car was repainted by the dealer before the car took delivery to the original owner. Its ugly, but its very rust free and didnt see any signs of bondo. I think I saw one area where it had a few small bubbles near one of the lower rockers. No idea how it would of started seeing as this cars never been out of the Az desert. SUSPENSION: the suspension is basically all original and stock Steering feels tight and car goes down the road quiet and straight. Brakes feel good but sometimes the light on the dash comes on and they feel hard, so not sure if the power brake booster is going out . The car still stops fine, but sometimes it will surprise you when the pedal feels harder then normal. This car is 95% rust free Arizona car We just sold an 82 GN here on ebay not near as nice as this car. (please by all means check out our feedback !!) This is still a Muscle car that was part of the 80s Muscle Car Era. Check out ALL the pics below -----> it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra schroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. Hope you like the detailed pics There you have it, probably The BEST represented Buicks on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Our auctions have NOTHING to hide . Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know exactly what you have in the end. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles youll never buy a total rust bucket again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on.
