Vehicle Detail

* 1967 CHRYSLER 300 Series COUPE * Before you and up for bid is my all original 1967 CHRYSLER 300 Series 2 door coupe. The particulars of the 300 coupe are as follows: * One family owned Colorado car ordered & purchased new from PERKINS MOTORS in Colorado Springs. Delivery was taken 48 years ago tomorrow, on 11/11/66. (documented) * A pampered, non-smoker, no pets, always indoor garaged car when not being driven. NO ACCIDENT history, save for a slight barn door mishap on the right side, (see pics) minor scratches and dings. * 100% factory original paint, no respray, no winter driving, and therefore no exposure to salt or mag chloride corrosives. The paint was hand compounded and then hand polished. While difficult to see, look to the reflection in pictures. The pin stripe is the original hand painted. Light lower surface rust at the quarter lips. NO rot. (see pics including the rocker shot) * All original body panels, fenders, doors, door skins, quarters, rockers, floors, trunk pan, etc * An original "survivor" car in every sense of the word, and a clean car. The only equipment not original to the car are items that necessitated replacement given to age or wear. * The sixth generation of the Chrysler 300 (approx. 11,200 produced in coupe form) brought a new roofline, concave side panels, and a pointed grill which distinguished it from the '66. Biggest of the changes for '67, was that the 383 and 413 engines were no longer offered, the entry engine was now the 7.2 liter 440 cubic inch V-8, rated @ 350HP. For just $79 more, one could choose the 375 HP "TNT" 440. Single 4 bbl carburetor. The car is completely stock. * The 440 fires right up and holds a smooth idle. There are no annoying engine drips or leaks. * TorqueFlite automatic transmission, no clunks, smooth transitions through all shifts including reverse. Gear selector properly displays the correct position(s). * Power steering, power brakes * In anticipation of the sale, recent servicing included, fresh fluids, filters, (fuel, air, oil) rebuilding of the carburetor, new fuel pump, all new brakes, new battery, and 4 new HANKOOK Optima tires. They have 40 miles on them. (over $1500) * All original glass, no chips or cracks. All windows roll up and down fully and smoothly. * All weather stripping is still soft and pliable. * The window gaskets for the side vent windows are pliable, the window brushes are still in good condition, not frayed. * The interior I would rate an 8 out of 10. It is original to the car. The dash has one small center crack. The front and rear seating have some separated stitch seams. (easily repaired) * The carpets are still very nice, the original rubber floor mat is present. * The headliner is in perfect condition. The rear packet shelf is also in nice shape. * The door panels, and rear panels are in very good condition (see pics) there is a small stress crack on each front arm rest. * Very nice kick panels and rear opera panels. * The bucket seats are still very supportive, the carpeted backs and chrome are in excellent condition. If one elected to not order the center console, one could still get bucket seats with the center fold down arm rest so as to be able to seat three across. * Nice seat belts front & rear. * All interior knobs, buttons, and stalks are present. * ONLY 92,116 original miles, under 2K per year. * All safety features, lights, turn signals, wipers, horn, and emergency flashers are fully operational. All vanity lights remarkably, still work...trunk included. * Factory AM radio, it plays when it wants. Period correct (I'm thinking 1973) SPARKOMATIC FM converter...don't judge. * 25 gallon fuel tank, the gas gauge indicates the level sporadically. The clock tells the correct time twice each day. The speedometer needle is steady and accurate. * The heater and defroster operate properly, the "MAX HEAT" selection will offer some a glimpse of eternity. * The glove box opens and closes properly * Excellent grill, NO cracks or breaks, excellent headlight housings * Excellent bumpers, front and rear, NO pitting, dents or discoloration * All brightwork trim is present and in good condition. All badging, emblems (PENTASTARS, model designation, etc.) are present * All 4 hubcaps are in good shape * Original US ROYAL spare tire, (never on the ground) jack and tire tool. * Original keys, owners manual, warranty book, miscellaneous pamphlets and the "Holy Grail" of provenance... the CERTICARD was still tucked away in its proper provision on the upper inside of the radiator support. YEE HA! At 48 years of age, the 300 COUPE looks, runs and drives well. It cruises down the road effortlessly and stops assuredly. It is an affordable classic car that could be a daily driver or relegated to Cold Stone Creamery grandkids runs. You are bidding to purchase the 300 COUPE, not to be the first to look at it. Please have your funding in place prior to placing your bid, thank you. Inspections are welcome and will be facillitated to the best of my ability prior to the auction concluding. Transportation and/or delivery are the sole responsibility of the buyer. The car and I are located in the Colorado Springs vicinity. While the car is 100% road worthy, I do not advocate driving it home. Old cars are just that...old cars. Miles from home is not the place to become familiar with your new old car. Get it home first. With that said, if you choose to fly in and drive home, I won't stop you, and will gladly pick you up from the airport in Colorado Springs. I can recommend a reputable shipper for you if needed, or will coordinate with your chosen shipper. I have set a reasonable reserve for the Chrysler 300. It is commensurate with the condition of the car, the low miles, and the ownership history. Please DO NOT ask what the reserve is, as I will not disclose it. Bid what you can afford and are willing to pay for the "Survivor" 1967 CHRYSLER 300 Coupe that you see before you. An initial payment of $1000.00 is due and payable within 24 hours of auction close VIA PayPal. NO EXCEPTIONS. The balance is then due and payable within 7 days thereafter under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer. I prefer a legitimate bank to bank wire transfer as it provides a documented record of the transaction for both parties. I will also accept cash in person if you intend to fly in and drive home. I require that the winning bidder contact me by phone within 24 hours of auction close to discuss further arrangements. If you are new to eBay, have 0% feedback, excessive negative feedback, inactivity on eBay despite being a long term member or less than 10 transactions, you will need to CALL ME prior to placing your bid to express your intentions. If you do not not call me your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from further bidding. I am not a dealer and therefore, I do not have a littany of rules and regulations. The few simple guidelines that I have are to differentiate a sincere buyer from someone that is unlikely to fulfill their purchase commitment. These auctions cost money, but more importantly, time. I will not waste your time, please do not waste mine. I am a legitimate seller simply seeking a legitimate buyer. Thank you. Clear Colorado title, the Chrysler and the title will not be released until full payment has been received. Upon receipt of full payment, I will overnight VIA FEDEX the title and bill of sale documents to you, or hand deliver them, if you are to fly in. Buyers from the U.S., Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand are welcome and encouraged to bid with confidence. eBay provides for only 24 pictures. I have selected pictures that best present a concise overview of the car. If you would like any area specific photographs, simply request them. I answer my phone quicker than I respond to e-mail, call me directly with any questions. If you reach my voice mail, leave me a brief message and I will return your call promptly. If you would like to discuss a "buy it now", call me and PRESENT your offer. DO NOT call and ask me, "what's the lowest that you'll take?" As a collector/hobbyist, I strive to honestly represent a vehicle. While I have accurately described the 300, please have realistic expectations for a 48 year old automobile. I say this after recently selling a 28 year old family Volvo wagon to an "Occupy Wall Streeter" whose expectations were unrealistic for what he bought. Of note, at the same time I sold the Volvo, I also sold a nice "Survivor" F-250. The buyer was very pleased and representative of buyers of my vehicles. Given the age of the Chrysler, it is sold in "as is" condition with no expressed, written or otherwise implied warranties. The astute buyer knows that the best investment in the collector car market is a "survivor" quality vehicle. One can restore a vehicle 10 times, they are however, only original once. These cars are projected to do better than their Dodge and Plymouth counterparts. While destined to be collectible, they won't likely be blue chips, which keeps them affordable and within reach of essentially anyone that wants to have family fun in an old car. Thanks for looking and good luck when you bid on my "survivor" Chrysler 300 440 coupe! Jeff (719)-492-1234,c
