Vehicle Detail
Greetings Ebayers! This is a no reserve auction! This great Suburban 4x4 will go to the highest bidder! My name is Dan and I'm selling this 2004 Suburban for a good friend of mine (who is the original owner). This vehicle was purchased in 2004 from Hight Chevrolet in Farmington, Maine. Over the last 10 years, it has been serviced at the same dealership almost exclusively. I have a 16 page report of the complete service history on this vehicle, totaling nearly $16,000 in repairs and maintenance since 2004. In addition to routine services, new brakes and tires were installed just last year. Although this Suburban is in decent shape for its age, it does not have a current Maine state inspection. Further, because of some rusty spots (pictured), it will likely need body work to pass inspection again, at least in the state of Maine. If you live in a state without such inspections, my (unprofessional) opinion is that the rust is cosmetic and won't impact driveability. Check out the pictures and see for yourself. No major leaks that I could see, though I did notice the coolant is a little low in the reservoir bottle. Tires are good. Makes a noise that I would guess is coming from the belt (see youtube link below for video footage). 4x4 works great. Transmission shifts smooth. Engine runs well and has plenty of power. Several months ago the check engine light came on. I checked it with my scanner and it came back as a misfire. I cleared the code, drove around for over an hour, and it did not reappear. I discussed possible causes with a mechanic at the Chevy dealer. He suggested that it was likely coming from the fuel injectors and that a good fuel injector cleaner should do the trick in lieu of replacing the injectors (probably would need about 6 tanks of treated gas to clean things up thoroughly). I'm not a Chevy guy myself but apparently this is not uncommon with the 5.3 liter Vortec engines. Here's a link to a video of the vehicle: http://youtu.be/I4HkQw1D_5U I have a flatbed trailer and may be able to assist with shipping this vehicle. I can also help coordinate pickup via Uship or other vehicle shipping services, but the buyer is solely responsible to work out these arrangements. Please use email if you have any questions. You can reach me at the number below, but please don't text/call unless you have a serious inquiry. Finally, YOU MUST CONTACT ME IN ADVANCE if you wish to bid on this vehicle and have zero, low, or poor feedback. Please use email (ebay contact seller feature). I will cancel all bids from such bidders unless I receive prior communication. Thanks! Dan/303-9OO-8599
