Offered are four 1971 VW Type III Squareback station-wagon restoration project cars. Three are whole and have clear titles, one body/chassis is a roller with no motor and sold with bill-of-sale only. All-in-all, 2-3 complete squarebacks could probably be gotten running from the four total, with lots of spare parts left over. There are 4 bodies/chassis, 3 motors, and 4 transmissions, two of which are manual, two are automatics. I purchase these a couple months ago, and then life commitments and job change makes it so I won't have time to finish the projects. The best squareback is shown in the first 8 photos. It is a uniquely-equipped car. Cream color, has dual-carbs and dealer-installed air conditioning. One owner prior to my purchasing it. Comes with a complete purchase and service history. Owner was meticulous about maintenance and record keeping. Has surface rust so needs paint work, but structurally very little rust or damage. Ran when parked in 94, motor still turns but I have not tried to start it. Good glass all around. Interior is in great shape. Has some fraying at the edges of the seats, but there are new seat covers in a box included in sale. Front end streering is abit sloppy, maybe worn and needs work. The other three squarebacks are in various stages of rust and condition. Two are cream colored, one is blue. The worst one is the blue one, it was used for mail delivery in a road-salt climate, very rusty and has some broken glass. The other two cream ones are in-between. Good glass all around. One has no motor but a good body, not too much rust, just has body dents on one side. The other one has some rust holes but not as bad as the blue one. All of the other 3 cars have various body and interior parts in good shape, some not. That's why I'm estimating 2-3 whole cars can be gotten from the 4 total. I got them from two different owners, who had 2 apiece, one owner in Pennsylvania, the other in Arkansas. The best one and blue car are now with me in Indianapolis. The third one is still at the owner's in PA, fourth one is at the owner in AR. I am in the middle of getting them pulled back here, but its taking me awhile to get the time to do each trip.
