The original 1970 Challenger RT rolled out of the California factory on March 26, 1970. The original vehicle had a 383 high performance motor that now has a 1969 440RB block. The block was reconditioned with high performance aluminum heads from Mopar Performance along with a high performance intake. The engine is fueled with a Holly 770 cfm carburetor. The transmission was replaced with a TCI Streetfighter Torqueflight 727 with 3400 stall. The Hooker Headers were fitted with Flowmaster mufflers and finished with dual exhaust with vehicle correct exhaust tips. The rearend was replaced with a Strange Engineering Dana 60 with 350 gears. The suspension was upgraded with a Hotchkis Challenger suspension kit. The brakes were upgraded with Wilwood forged pro-series disc brakes all around. The Chip Foose Challenger custom alloy wheels were fitted with 17 inch tires with 275/50 on the rear and 235/50 on the front. The floor pans, trunk pans, gas tank and stainless steel fuel lines were replaced. The bumpers were re-chromed. The challenger was painted in 2012 with FY1 top banana color (original color) and vinyl top replaced. The interior is stock and looks to be original to the car.
