Offered for sale with no reserve is my well maintained 1999 Mercedes E300 Turbo diesel sedan. I am the second owner and purchased this Starmark certified pre-owned vehicle in 2003 from Mercedes Benz of Richmond Virginia for $34,000. Prior to my ownership the car had been leased from new through Mercedes Benz of North America (MBNA). I also purchased the extended Starmark 48 month warranty. The car is finished in Glacier White with a Parchment leather interior and has a glass sunroof. The E-Class diesel is the workhorse of the Mercedes mid size luxury fleet. E-Class diesel’s are the car of choice for taxi cabs all over Europe and routinely enjoy a service life of 500,000 miles. These cars are remarkably fuel efficient (36mpg) and Mercedes diesel engines are legendary for their reliability, maintainability, and most importantly their durability. While this car has nearly 206,000 miles, it still has a lot of life left provided it is properly maintained. The car has been my economic and reliable daily driver for the past 11 years. The car has always been well maintained and complete service documentation from new will be provided to the winning bidder. The car is in great shape for its age and has been driven almost exclusively on rural highways. The car has been garaged and is accident and rust free and retains its original factory finish which remains remarkably clean for its age. The car has just been fitted with a set of new factory OEM wheels and 4 brand new Hankook high performance all season radial tires at a cost of $1000. I am selling the car because I retired in May and no longer need the car.Mechanically the car is representative of Mercedes' legendary reputation for longevity and thorough engineering. The diesel engine starts easily, idles smoothly and shifts cleanly through each of the gears. The car brakes smoothly and feels solid on the road. All comfort and convenience features work properly such as the Air Conditioning, Sunroof, Wipers, Lights, Central Locking System, Clock, Outside Temp Indicator, Cruise Control, etc... The exterior of the car is very clean for a 15 year old car, but it does have a few minor surface scratches and dings along with a tiny 1/4 inch stone bruise on the lower passenger side of the windshield which has been repaired and is barely visible. The car’s interior is equally clean and original. The leather seat inserts are in excellent condition with the only blemish being a small section of the driver’s seat bottom left bolster showing signs of minor peeling of the MB Tex (vinyl) that does not impact seat comfort or performance. While not perfect, this Mercedes Diesel is in better condition than 95% of those you see on the road today. Take a look at the photographs and judge for yourself. ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation) engages at all vehicle speeds if one or both drive wheels begin to loose traction. While engaged, a yellow ASR warning light in the speedometer dial flashes. The car is also equipped with ABS (Antilock Brake System) and BAS (Brake Assist System) designed to maximize the vehicle's braking maneuvers by having maximum power boost applied to the brakes more quickly in emergency braking conditions than might otherwise be afforded solely by the drivers braking style.
