A fast appreciating icon, the first generation 240Z is fun to drive and a great investment. To make a good investment in a 240Z it must have low to no rust, retain all original equipment and have low mileage. There are very few remaining which meet this criteria. My car is a time capsule with only 48k miles and all its original equipment (excl. hubcaps). It is fully loaded with the dealer installed stereo, side moldings, bumper guards and AC system. Everything else is as made from the factory. The car was additionally undercoated by the dealer and spent all its life garaged in California. There there is almost no rust, just a small "spot" at the bottom of each fender and quarter panel. This is original and not repaired. Absolutely no rust ANYWHERE else. The body is in good condition with a few side dings. The orange paint is good. The hood was repainted due to fading and needs to be redone. The black interior is excellent, again exactly as it came from the factory, with only the typical dash crack. Seats, carpet, console, door panels, etc. are as new. Small crack in PS seat vinyl. I am the second owner. Recently installed new tires and battery. Buyer can enjoy it as is and sell it down the line for even more. If you are a perfectionist, it just needs paint and that would be a good investment as well. No disappointments.
