Vehicle Detail
1982 Buick Grand National Aka Regal Sport Coupe Turbo LOW FAIR RESERVE: BID TO WIN !!! You are looking at one of the RAREST GRAND NATIONALS MADE These are so RARE alot of GN owners never even knew that before black this is basically what started the whole GN history. At the before black dot net website there is a registry and out of 215 known made Grand Nationals made in 1982, so far only 35 Turbo models are known to exist. The rest are actually V8 cars. If you own a GNX, thats a great car to own if you want the fastest GN made and still low production numbers, but if you want 1 of the RAREST and GNs made...here is a your chance to own 1. Here is a little history about the car from what Ive found. DRIVETRAIN: under the hood is the original matching #s motor 3.8 TURBO backed with an OD auto trans the previous owner had the Motor and Transmission rebuilt by Bill Nelsons Automotive ( if you know anything about GNs, Bill Nelson himself races a GN nationwide ) and is one of the best builders of these motors on the West Coast and his shop is here in Tucson AZ. Google his name and reputation. The motor and trans cant have more then 10k miles on them. As far as I know its still the stock 175hp motor and it runs well, but the Qjet carb may need to be gone thru. It has a small stumble on take off and sometimes it doesnt like to idle when its cold. INTERIOR: as mentioned earlier on, this car did go thru a mild restoration back in the last 90s, early 20s. But the interior at the time didnt need it because It was always garaged. Well in 06 roughly, it was parked outside for about the last 8 yrs and the AZ Sun has taken some toll on fabric, rubber and plastic. Carpet is pretty dirty too, maybe it can be cleaned but I suggest changing it. As long as Ive had it, the TTOPs havent leaked and lack of rain in AZ kept assure the interior didnt get any mold or water damage. Even the dash isnt cracked. The shift knob is loose and broken too. Check out all the pics, you should be able to get a good idea of what it needs to be restored. To be a daily driver, its really NEEDs nothing. 1 more thing, we didnt get an ignition key with the car, but the ignition starts without a key. We do have a door and trunk key to lock the car. EXTERIOR: the car is amazingly straight front to back. Other then a few dings theres nothing bad to say about the body at all. Paint was done about 15 yrs ago like factory again, but the car never needed any body repair. Since the resto paint job and sitting in the SUN again, the top part of the cars paint is getting dull and the hood is probably the worst part. It will also need new fillers, az heat has made them brittle, no surprise. Chrome on the bumpers is amazing and all the glass is good too EXCEPT the windshield. (if you want, I can get a new windshield INSTALLED locally for $200 ) SUSPENSION: the suspension is basically all original and stock with the exception of new bushings in the front upper control arms, and prob in a few other areas, and a nice set of white KYB hi pressure shocks in all 4 corners. Original wheels no longer on the car, but they are out there for sale. Steering feels tight and car goes down the road quiet and straight. The car has been off the road now for about 8 or so yrs, until a few months ago.. maybe more. Brakes feel good Gone are the original T TYPE Wheels, BUT I have found a few sets online and they are not as hard to find as I thought. Stocks where also 14" alloys. This car is 95% rust free Arizona car We just sold a 78 King Cobra a few weeks ago here on ebay (please by all means check out our feedback !!) This is still a Muscle car that was part of the 80s Muscle Car Era. Check out ALL the pics below -----> it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra schroll bar on the right side. Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate. more info AFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics. Hope you like the detailed pics There you have it, probably The BEST represented Buicks on Ebay. Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them. We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows. People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end. Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days speaks volumes. Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating. People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers. Our auctions have NOTHING to hide . Restore a car like this yourself or locally and you know exactly what you have in the end. Email us with ANY questions before you bid please If you treat yourself to buying one of our vehicles youll never buy a total rust bucket again from anyone !! Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. Doing restoration on this type of project is less labor intensive which means overall cost is less too ! With less horrid surprises later on. Dont let auctions with little to no pics try to fool you. With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER with great pics to help making your decision easier. Along with ANY other questions you may have. Email me for a quote for shipping. Or fly in and drive it home, its that reliable and clean. Clear ARIZONA TITLE IN HAND I wont end the auction early !! CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 days of auctions END ! we can no longer store cars for anyone !! Unless other arrangements have been made before auction ends. Can help with shipping outside the USA too if you need help. But keep in mind, the car cant ship until you get your title from us in hand. This car, you can see clearly what to expect with no surprises and our Feedback speaks for itself ! EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE !! Car will obviously ship as an INOP. IF you need a shipping quote, just email us with your city/state and Ill find out our best quote for you !! No problem helping it to the docks if you are shipping overseas . If there is a winner, please email me when the auction ends and say Hi and we can take it from there. Bank Wires need to be prompt if you are out of the country because they always seem to take longer then expected. I bank with B of A which makes things easy for many out of state for payment. direct deposit or Cashier checks If you wire the funds we must add a $50 fee that our bank charges us. must clear before car can move. Its a sign of the times, sorry. IF RESERVES NOT MET, email us anyway maybe we can work out a deal after it ends. NO PAYPAL, sorry. Must be paid within 5 days of auctions end. On Oct-08-14 at 15:50:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I just got off the phone with Bill Nelsons Autothey cannot confirm any rebuilding on this cars motor etcbut they did say the guy did spend about $2k with them backin 01 getting the car running in good condition and did alot ofmisc work. But the car runs good and no weird noises or smoke, And trans feels good too like it should.
