Don't judge a book by its cover, or so they say. Up for grabs is this not so much good looking but extremely reliable and well performing Honda Accord LX. The good: 53000 original miles, I am the second owner of this car and originally purchased it with 13000 on it.No accidents. Runs and drives new, and is in excellent mechanical condition overall.All maintenance since I got this car was done strictly by the book; oil changed every 3000, new air filter, spark-plugs and ignition wiring changed at 40,000.AC works but will need to be re-charged soon.Passes inspection with flying colors.Front tires are new.Brand new front and rear breaks (only a couple of hundred miles on the breaks).No significant wear to the interior. New battery.Stock AM/FM, CD.Will need nothing at all until the scheduled timing belt maintenance at around 90,000.Both CV axles were just replaced with brand new ones (see the "bad" section as to why this was necessary).New exhaust (old one rusted away with time).Clean title at hand (no financing on this baby :) )Lots of highway miles as we like to go on long trips. Overall, cheap, reliable and comfortable transportation. The bad: Not really much of a looker - I pretty much got this card in the cosmetic condition that it is in now. There are a lot of small dents, scratches and scuffs. I got this car several years ago because I needed cheap, reliable transpiration and had neither budget nor time to think about looks.Although all major parts are in excellent mechanical condition, please be aware that this car will soon be 19 years old. This means that rubber and plastic parts may crack or even fall apart. The driver side power door lock works but often makes a buzzing noise when operating. This is due to the fact that a small rubber part in the lock's mechanism simply fell apart with time. I replaced it once with a custom-made part but it fell apart after a couple of years so the buzzing noise is back again. The rubber boots on the CV axles fell apart with time and since it is recommended to replace the whole axle instead of just the boot I replaced both CV axles. The rear passenger side windows will open from the driver's control panel but will only close with the button on the rear passenger side door.Passenger side mirror had a crack in its housing and was replaced with one of slightly different color. I'm selling this car because I have another car that's brand new and I don't want to keep paying two insurances. Theoretically, I could drive it to a junk yard and get about $450 for it as scrap-metal but I cannot bring myself to do it since it is a perfectly functioning, reliable vehicle that may really change someone's life for the better. Perfect if you need a reliable transport to work or school, low miles means cheap insurance.
