Vehicle Detail
Relisted with more/better pictures. Selling My Wifes' Dream car. We rescued this 68 Camaro from sitting behind a shop for years with out a hood and no covering. I would assume that the mileage showing is inaccurate. It has been stored indoors for the last 8+ years. I had intended on restoring the car for my wife but as time has passed, We realize we don't have the time resources to give it a proper restoration. The trim tag says it was born Ash Gold w/Black vinyl top and black interior with factory buckets. It is also a factory V-8 car, although the original drivetrain is long gone It has a complete black interior that is in relatively good condition, but brittle from age. All the glass is there without any cracks or breaks, However the windshield has some milking near the door frame. The sub-frame and floorboards are pretty solid. I think the passengers side has some small areas that need attention .The sheet metal is rough to very rough. The drivers rear quarter panel has been hit at some point and poorly repaired. I pulled the front clip off as most of it was damaged more than it was worth repairing. trunk is rusted through as well as the gas tank. The GOOD news, is that we have been gathering parts for the car over the last 8 years. We have over $2k worth of sheet metal and trim for the car. This includes a new radiator core support, new front fenders, new grill, new quarter panels, new door skins, new front and rear valances, A really straight, solid OEM hood, new headlight trim, new grill trim, new taillight panel, solid used OEM header panel, and more. What it really needs is someone skilled enough to install the new parts. The car is rough, but it is a 68 Camaro worthy of restoration. Nothing has been robbed from the car, only rusted or damaged sheet metal removed. The motor and trans pictured are not part of the auction and DO NOT go with the car. I do have a lot of the original front hardware, including the original hood hinges. Anything I have for the car, goes with the car. The car will be sold with a Georgia Bill Of Sale. This should be enough to get it titled in your state. Please check this before bidding. Potential bidders are welcome to come inspect the car or have it inspected. I am trying to be as honest as I can about the car. The winner will need to bring 3 wheels/tires in order to sit it down and roll it. I will assist as much as possible in loading, but remember that there are a great many parts that go with the car and will require loading as well. I have the car listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells to a local buyer. Please ask any questions you have and I will answer them honestly and be aware that it will take some serious man hours to make her the car she once was. Interested parties can reach me at 1-912-631-6312 or through Ebay. If you contact me via phone, text or voicemail is best, and I will get back with you ASAP. The car is selling at no reserve with what I consider a fair price given all the parts that go with the car. Please, only bid if you intend on paying. I can store the car for 30 Days, But it has to be paid for within the week I've allowed. If more time is needed to arrange shipping or pick-up, Please keep me in the loop. Good luck and Happy Bidding!!!!!!!!
