Presented here for your driving pleasure is this 2 owner original 1980 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance, the most high end GM car available for the year priced at a then big money figure of $18,800 plus ($54,380 in 2014 Dollars) this is also the last year of the Cast Iron V-8 motor at 368 Cubic inches 6.0 Liter Land Yacht. Sold New at Guy Hill Cadillac San Diego, California. Loaded with features, all of which work except the A/C is not blowing cold, needs to be recharged or changed over to the new 134a system. Even the Cruise Control works, along with the auto pull down trunk, power seats and windows, tilt, gauges and lights. Interior is in good condition, most of the wear is on the bottom of the front seats, original paint and vinyl top are decent, but there are some wear, again after almost 35 years. Most of the attention I have given this car is to the mechanical integrity, you can have a beautiful looking car with shiny new paint but if it doesn't run or run very well then what's the use? New Muffler and Tail Pipe. On 9-4-2014 Had AAA Install a New 36 Month Battery for around $140.00 Cd Player with Aux and iPod Plug, you can also recharge your phone from it. My Plan was to finish restoring this nice car because I like the style, how solid they were made and how safe you feel on the road with this type of car. The only things left to do I think to make it really nice would be a paint job and to replace the antennae a vandal snapped off in town one night, a horn relay or drive it the way it is. When these Luxury Land Yachts are dialed in you can expect 16-20MPG You can drive this car anywhere and for miles with these plush leather couch like seats. So the question in your mind must be, if it's so nice why sell? I will tell you I also own a 1962 Ford Thunderbird I have been neglecting for a few years,and having to choose between the cars, also we may end up having to move to New York and may only have room for 2 cars, plus we are looking at when the Daughter gets a car and my Elderly Parents and Their car.
