I am never going to finish this car. I bought this 1956 chevy convertible to restore 10 years ago and have not worked on it in the last 5 years. the first thing I did was strip the frame & install new front end bushings, springs, etc. the frame & everything is together & painted. ( needs to be refreshed ) what I believe to be the original 265 cid engine block and transmission are just sitting in the rolling chassis. The body is actually rebuild able. I was going to use a sedan body that I had & use the convertible towers & floor out of this to make a solid body. It doesn't matter much if your change the doors,quarters, & nose . All of the parts needed are reproduced, including the top & all of the trim. This car also has most of the parts needed to convert a 4 door 55 thru 57 chevy into a convertible. This is a perfect car to turn into a rat rod, a resto-mod , donor, or restoration project. That all depends on your level of skill. I also have a four door that ran well that I will give the winner of the auction for a reasonable price if they would like .
