1980 Camaro z/28For sale is a 1980 z/28 complete with factory option/build sheet. The car runs and drives, but needs a full restoration. This car was the previous owner's daily driver for almost 20 years, and he was the original owner's mechanic. It was delivered to a dealer in San Antonio, and has spent it's entire life in central Texas.I took it on a trade for a pickup, and was going to restore it and install an LT1 Corvette drivetrain, but I'm going with another project. This car has the biggest engine and rear axle (3.42:1) offered in 1980. It was originally black with silver z/28 stripes on the body, with Oyster interior. It was a nicely optioned car with almost everything except power windows and t-tops.The car was hit on the passenger side rear quarter panel several years ago. The damage is isolated to the quarter, and a quarter section complete with trunk floor and subframe section from a donor car IS INCLUDED with the sale. I don't believe the subframe is damaged at all, so it would just be a matter of cutting out the damaged quarter section and welding in the replacement. Easy for an experienced body man. Other than that damage, the car is a solid Texas car with little rust. The rust I do know of is minor on the bottom of the fenders and the bottom of the passenger door, and in the lower front corner of the quarters. An extra driver side door complete with glass and regulator will go with the car if you want it. See the pictures. This is a very solid car to start a full restoration. Everything is there. And, like I said, this was a daily driver until last week and has current TX registration and inspection tags.
