Up for auction from my personal collection is my 1969 Honda CT70 K0. I purchased this original example sometime ago when originals were still readily available and then parked and stored it for quite some time. The frame number appearing on this CT70 is CT70-191451 and the engine number appearing on this CT70 is CT70E-191027 making this a numbers matching correct original example. The odometer currently reads 3,497 miles which I believe to be correct. This CT70 would be an excellent original example to begin a complete restoration with as it is mostly complete, correct and mostly in its factory original Honda condition and has a clear title. Original examples like this are becoming very difficult to find. I am convinced the new owner is going to be very happy with this CT70 as a restoration candidate as they are very difficult to find in original, restorable condition especially from a high quality, reputable collector. This CT70 would be the perfect starting point for a show quality or totally correct restoration I also do have a clear title for this example in my name as well. Cosmetically, this CT70 is very original and features the factory original Honda body work with original paint. The chrome on this bike is also in very presentable condition and the body work could be restored or used as is on this example. The exhaust pipe and guard are original and in usable condition for a driver. The handle bare appear to be straight as well. Mechanically, this CT70 did run strong at some point and was fun to ride but it has been sitting unattended for years and it has not been ran and I have not tried to run it. It does turn over with good compression and I would recommend some general maintenance/restoration work as specified by Honda if the new owner is going to use it as is without a restoration. Overall, this original CT70 would be the perfect candidate for a show quality restoration as it is mostly all there in original condition and most importantly has a clear title to go with it. As you know, it would be foolish to restore a CT70 to show quality condition without a clear title in hand first.
