This clean two-owner 1985 AMC Eagle Model 385 station wagon is looking for a new home. Photos will be posted in 30 minutes. This car has 36,711 original two-owner miles. It was purchased in August 2000 from the original owner who purchased it in 1985. I want to sell it now because I have too many vehicles and do not drive it much - hence the extremely low mileage for a 29-year-old car. This wagon is two-tone (cream and brown). It will eventually need a paint job (original paint) but it buffs up nice. The 4.2 liter (258 c.i.d.) inline 6 starts right up. It has a minor miss - carburetor probably needs rebuilt (again, a common issue for car its age and original AMC carb was not known for its superior performance). Car drives and handles nicely. It has Select Drive so four-wheel drive can be activated "on the fly." This car has an automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning - air blows COLD - and a tilt wheel. It is nearly bone-stock original with exception of aftermarket radio. (The radio DOES NOT WORK.) Master cylinder was recently replaced. As shown in the photos, a lift kit has been put on this Eagle. Tires are Michelin 225P75R15s.The original rims and tires are available if you want to lower it. The chassis is perfect underneath. You will have a hard time finding a low-mileage AMC Eagle this age in this condition. If you are an AMC enthusiast, this will make a nice addition to your collection. Or, if you are just looking for basic transportation, this will work for you. MPG estimate on this car is 30 on the highway and 20 in the city but actual experience is more like mid 20s on the highway and 18 in the city.
