For sale is a very clean 2004 Volkswagen Passat GLS TDI. It runs and drives 100%, just had a new timing belt and water pump, has a clean Autocheck and is being sold with no reserve. The 2.0L four cylinder turbo charged diesel engine purrs along without a miss or smoke. It just had a timing belt kit which included a new timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, AC belt and serpentine belt. No "check engine" lights. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly without hesitation. The brakes and suspension feel normal. The steering is good but there is a slight drift to the right. No exhaust leaks. The exterior is a glossy metallic brown/bronze. There are no dents or body rust. The lights and lenses are bright. No windshield cracks or chips. The tires, on factory alloy wheels, have about 25% tread. The interior is tan carpet and leather seats. The carpet and seats have no holes, stains or rips. There are slight surface wear cracks on the side of the driver seat. The front seats are heated. There are steering wheel controls for audio and cruise. All the power options such as sunroof, side mirrors, windows, cruise control, work as designed however the left rear door window switch does not work. Driver must open window. There is a factory sound system with CD. The heat is hot and the AC is cold. The low windshield washer solvent light is on for no reason. The washer tank is full. This is a very fine 2004 Passat TDI. With the new timing belt the next owner is good for at least another 100K miles. There are absolutely no mechanical issues with this car and no indication of any impending problems.
