2002 FORD F-150 XLT - UNDER 102,000 MILES - RUNS GREAT! OUTSTANDING VALUE! This truck looks good, runs great, and has been extremely reliable over the 5 years that I have owned it. During my ownership, the truck has been used only for light duty operations and general personal use - no heavy hauling or towing. The truck has been based in suburban Dallas, Texas, for 4 of the past 5 years and is based there now; for 1 year it was based at my second home in Phoenix, Arizona. It is my second vehicle, and I am selling it because I no longer need two vehicles. The truck is a dark navy blue which can, under certain lighting conditions, look like a very dark grey. The exterior looks good overall, but there is a noticeable dented scratch on the passenger's side, below the rear door (see photos), plus some minor scratching and nicks in various places on the paint - this is more noticeable on the passenger's side - and some scratches on the rear of the rear view mirrors. The interior is quite clean and shows only minor wear and tear. There are dual 12V power outlets conveniently located under a flip-cover on the dash, one of which does not currently work. The AM/FM stereo radio with single-disk CD changer works great, but there may be a loose wire to one of the speakers, as sometimes the speaker on the passenger's side may kick out and back in. The air conditioning works great. An outside temperature gauge and directional compass are nice touches. I do not smoke nor have I allowed smoking in this vehicle. The cab has a rear seat which can be folded up for extra storage if needed. Outside, behind the rear doors on both sides are step-ups, making it easy to reach into the truck bed or to climb into it. (See photos). The vehicle handles and drives well. There is no noticeable looseness, shimmy, or pull in the steering. It has a good feel on the highway. There is no noticeable oil consumption. I have had the oil changed professionally at regular intervals during my ownership. New tires were installed just over 18 months ago and have under 9,000 miles on them. The vehicle has never failed a state safety inspection or vehicle emissions test during my period of ownership. The truck has a trailer hitch ball, and there is wiring for trailer lights, but the socket into which one plugs the trailer light harness is missing. A new socket would need to be installed, if one plans to pull a trailer, and this should be a very minor, inexpensive thing to do. I purchased this truck from a personal friend who, to the best of my knowledge, had taken very good care of it, but I believe he bought it used from a local Dallas dealership. Most (but not all) service records from my ownership, and some records from the previous owner are available. ================================ Terms of Sale This vehicle is based in Rowlett, Texas (suburban Dallas) and is sold "as is, where is." I am not a vehicle mechanic, and while I have attempted to describe the vehicle condition accurately and fairly to the best of my knowledge, I provide no warranty as to the actual physical condition of this truck. Prospective buyers are strongly encouraged to have the vehicle inspected prior to completing their purchase by an inspector of the buyer's choice and at the buyer's expense. Inspection must be completed within the 7-day window required to complete the purchase - no exceptions, please. Cost of registration, transfer of title, sales tax, state-mandated inspections (mechanical, emissions), insurance, and any/all other related costs of purchase and ownership are solely the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the purchase price. Payment A deposit of $500 is required to secure your purchase. The down payment must be fully cleared through PayPal. Payment for the rest of the balance must be paid via cashier's check or cash on delivery. Cashier's checks must be confirmed by bank and fully cleared before the title will be released. Upon receipt of full, cleared payment, I will provide all necessary paperwork (Bill of Sale, Title, available service records). If truck is to be re-registered in Texas, I will provide a signed Texas 130-U (Application for Title) form as required in Texas. Please note that the Bill of Sale and related paperwork will show the actual purchase price. Please do NOT ask me to fudge these numbers. Delivery & Shipping Personal pick-up in or near Rowlett, Texas - (Dallas, Texas metropolitan area) is preferred. Please note that I will be removing the existing plates and registration from the truck at the time of delivery, so the buyer will need to download a TRANSIT PERMIT from the Texas DMV website in order to be able to legally drive the vehicle away when picking it up. If shipping is required, I will reasonably cooperate with the buyer regarding shipment, but it will be the buyer's responsibility to make all shipping arrangements, which shall be solely at the buyer's expense. Full, cleared payment required prior to shipment. I will consider requests to deliver this vehicle to locations within the USA, outside of the Dallas area. Full, cleared payment for the vehicle plus reimbursement for my estimated out-of-pocket expenses for delivering the vehicle and return air fare to Dallas would be required in advance. If you require delivery, I will only consider such requests if you contact me PRIOR to bidding to discuss possible arrangements. At that time I will let you know if I would be able to deliver the vehicle and what your reimbursement costs would be. The reimbursement costs would be based on my best estimate of the charges I would incur (fuel, food, lodging, return air fare) and would be a fixed amount, not subject to change if the actual costs were higher or lower.
