Due to PayPal scammer I am relisting for sale again! This time, anyone with 5 or less sales, or poor performance score will be deleted. Happy Bidding! I have always wanted one of these fabulous 108's, but they were either expensive, or junk.........until I found this one. This is an original unrestored "barn find" as best I can tell. I am the third owner. I do have some receipts. I was visiting in Colorado, and saw this at an estate sale.....apparently the second owner had hit hard times, and needed to sell it. It had hardly been driven in 10 years he said......so, I bought it. I put tires on the chrome 560sl rims that were on it, did a quick service, and drove it 2k miles to North Carolina. What a great drive! Anyway, once here I did a COMPLETE service. Transmission, diff, coolant, power steering, tune-up, oil again, and checked it over thoroughly. I found no oil leaks, very little weeping even, so that wasn't an issue. I did find the drag link bushing worn, so I replaced that. The steering column joint was also worn out, and I replaced that. It still is slightly wandery, but tolerable. It has been a sunday driver since then, with comments from everyone that see's it how cool it is! The paint on the back half of the car as far as I can tell is original, and the front having been painted somewhere along the line. No evidence of any crash damage anywhere, so I suspect it was to repair rock chips etc maybe? The original paint has held up better than the repaint oddly enough......the original still has some shine left, the repaint is pretty dull......There is a rust spot in a weird spot on the left front fender with a picture to show it. The only real rust spot is inside the left side well in the trunk. I also have a picture of that. You can't see that hole from the outside, but it is still there. The right front fender and headlight bezel have a bit of damage as well and shown in a picture. I have 4 brand new door seals and a trunk seal to go with the sale. The windshield gasket has already been replaced. Bumpers front ant rear almost perfect, grille is very good, chrome trim very nice. The interior as far as I know is original. The drivers seat shows wear with a picture to show it, but the others are great considering the age. The dash pad is cracked, the windshield bow wood trim needs replaced along w the drivers door wood trim from water damage. The carpet in the drivers footwell is rough, not too noticeable w the mats in place, and the rest is pretty decent really. Everything works, windows, cruise, etc......the only system not working is the ac....actually it does work, but....I charged the system, it got quite cold, but the compressor seals were leaking. A rebuild kit is available, or a compressor will be required. So, not expensive, and not junk! I hate to sell it but now it is down to cosmetics and I hate to paint etc without having a garage to keep it in....so it's time to sell. I have had it 4 years and enjoyed the hell out of it, now it's someone else's turn. The car is North Carolina blue, in North Carolina, with blue interior, and is a non-sunroof car with 140k miles. Buyer pays shipping from 28401. I want a $500 deposit within2 days of end of auction, and I would prefer to not use PayPal because of fee's, but that can be discussed. Email me with questions......thanks, happy bidding!
