1957 Ford Thunderbird with original 312 V8 and single 4-barrel carburetor. Single owner since late 1970s. The heads were redone with hardened valves a few years ago for use with unleaded gas. Engine runs smooth. Brake drums and shoes were replaced recently. Has power brakes installed but booster needs work. The exhaust pipe section directly behind the resonator on one side has some rust holes in it. Nice older restoration on body. Body was stripped down to bare-metal and professionally repainted. The vehicle has been garaged with regular but limited driving ever since. A few flaws are starting to show in the paint -- there is a small rust bubble in the rear skirt. Panels are very straight and solid with good gaps. There is some surface rust on the underside of the frame. A 4" x 4" section in passenger side floor was repaired with fiberglass many years ago. Underbody has a thick layer of undercoating with some flaking in spots. The fender skirt stone guard is missing on one side. The factory-supplied hard top (including the headliner) is in excellent condition. Interior restoration is mostly complete. New carpet, seat upholstery and door panels have been installed. New padded dash is included but needs to be installed. Has power windows that work but they need some maintenance. The instrument panel is in good shape and all gauges, switches, lights and indicators are working with the exception of the clock.
