I am selling my 1985 Mercury Capri GS 5.0. The title section did not have 5.0 in the GS engine choices. The car is not an RS, it is a GS with a 5.0, very rare option for this model car. The car has X36780 miles. The engine was rebuilt with X21785. The engine was rebuilt in 2001, so it has very low miles on it. I parked the car in 2009 and haven't really driven it since. It starts and drives fine. I don't really have a need for the car any more so its up for sale. The engine was bored .010 over and I put 351 Windsor heads on it. They have 1.94/1.54 valves in them. It has a victor junior intake and a demon 750 double pumper carb. The cam is a comp cams, with a .598 lift. It has a full roller set up. The rockers are ford racing 1.6/1.7 mixed rockers. Its a 5 speed with a king cobra clutch and a BBK adjustable clutch quadrant. It has BBK long tube headers to an H-pipe to flow master mufflers with turn downs at the axle. It has an all aluminum drive shaft and 3.55 gears in the stock 8.8 rearend. The T-tops don't leak. It has a few minor issues. The door locks don't work. The door lock actuators are locked up. There is a dent on the passenger side roof from a tree branch falling on it. It is shown in the pics near the end. The hood flew open going down the interstate so it left to dents in the body between the windshield and T-tops. It has an electric fuel pump with a switch to it. The ignition switch quit working for the start the car, so I wired in a switch that is under the knee bolster panel. Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees and insurance or any other fees.
