Selling for No Reserve... Excellent opportunity for collector or enthusiast to own a 1959 Mercedes 190SL Silver with red interior. Original three owner car from California with California Black plates. Original owner was Colonel Robinson Minick. I have service records that date back to 1967 along with some neat AAA insurance member era 60's paperwork. This car has been parked in in San Francisco Bay Area for past 30 years. The license tags still show 1983. Actual mileage is believed to be 80k miles. Have service receipts over the years that shows miles from 1967 with ownership history. Also comes with original owners manuals. The last owner sold me the car because he was having health complications and could not finish the restoration. The paint has been recently painted in the last three years. All of the exterior chrome trim was removed and rechromed at the same time as paintwork. The interior was redone with all red leather. All seat coverings, carpets, door cards, dash leather is all from GAHH in Southern California. The car is a California model 190SL and comes with hardtop only and NO softop mechanism or top. Interior headliner was dyed blue over the years. Currently the car is being SOLD AS-IS IN NON RUNNING CONDITION. Car will need to be sorted as its been off the road for many years. The motor is not turning. It has not been driven in over 30 years and motor is going to need a rebuild. Im selling the car as is and will let next owner complete the restoration. Im told the car did start and run three to four years ago prior to when it was repainted. The bodywork and interior work are part of the major expenses when restoring a 190SL. This one has already been done. Car still has the dual original Solex carburetors. Gas tank is still very clean and not rusted out. It can be used without boiling out and replacement is not necessary. The emergency brake works but brakes are not currently operating and will requiring servicing/repair. Trunk seal is new. Minor paint peel on corner edge of drivers rear trunk. Drivers window chrome molding needs to be fastened down. Radio installation not complete. Clean title in hand. Please email for more info.
