This is as new-feeling as you probably can get from the last few years of this amazing vehicle. It has lived its entire life in the West which makes it a RUST-FREE/LEAK FREE vehicle as it has been sheltered from the elements that the rest of the country endures. TUSCAN BLUE is a color which is ICONIC back to the early days of production. It was brought it back to life on this Range Rover which makes it truly one of a kind. I was told the paint job has thorough 3 stage process making it completely smooth and mirror finished from hood to door jambs, body panels and hidden trim pieces, in some places I am not so sure. On the road, it is a head turner; out in country the vivid color makes it striking against any terrain. There is a driver door nick which was unfortunate.An amazing set of New Old Stock Rostyle wheels which were on all Rovers in the 1970's until early 1980's were sourced. They sport a set of great all-terrain tires. Another rare option that was found for this was the GENUINE metal grill and headlamp surrounds that also came from the 1970's Range Rover Classic. The side turn signals are EURO style with the orange and white instead of the all orange US specs. Another great feature are the front and rear bumpers that were custom made by URBAN OFFROAD, these bumpers were custom made to mimic the early Rover's but with better craftsmanship. The sharp eyed among you may also notice the Range Rover suffix A badge-work fitted to the hood cowl and rear tailgate. These were available only through early years of production in England only.The entire set of Winchester Grey Leather front and rear seats are in great condition. The carpet is virtually wear free. All load space articles are clean, sturdy and accounted for including the rear load cover. It also comes with new re-venuered center console Burl Walnut wood to complete that new restoration feel.The 3.5L v8 has been built by Dave Nelson of Nelson Buick Rover in So Cal. Pocket ported heads .. The addition of pocket ported heads will add another 18 to 25 hp and about 18 to 20 lb.ft. of torque if combined with headers and a Cat Back exhaust system. This combination of cam, more compression, ported heads, headers and good exhaust system is worth more power than the sum total of each up-grade on it's own. The combination of properly selected up-grades will provide the biggest improvement for the dollars spent. It sounds very good on the road. Dave Nelson is known for his Buick hot rod expertise and he was published in Hot Rod Magazine for what its worth. Also included in the upgrade: New Battery (plus battery disconnect switch) New Alternator New Starter New Brake Servo New Brake Pads NEW STI wires along factory LUCAS cap and rotor. New Exhaust with Magna-Flow muffler New Radiator, hoses etc. All Fluids changed, diffs, transfer case, transmission and swivel balls greased. The Engine rebuilt has less than 2000 miles on it. The impressive stance and handling on this truck are made possible by newly installed TERRAFIRMA shock absorbers, TERRAFIRMA springs and a NEW TERRA-FIRMA steering damper. I am the second owner as it is in this condition. I have another 87 Rover that is more rock crawler like and something I drive daily (since I can park it anywhere and don't care who parks next to me). I was originally going to combine the best of both using this Blue one to make a very reliable useful range rover, but I just can't bring myself to change it, so I have not used it as much as I thought I would and I own two other cars as well so, space is limited. I park this of street, but it is outside and gets washed every week roughly. Oh there is no Stereo either, never had one and I never put one in.
