Vehicle Detail

We recently moved back to Louisville from NYC where we had no car for 5 years. I was excited to get a another Scout as I had one before we moved to NYC and had to sell, this is the third Scout I have owned. But after bouncing back and forth from the Scout to my wife's newer vehicle, I decided at this stage of my life I'd rather have a newer vehicle as well (and the features and amenities that go with :) Like I said, this is my 3rd Scout, so time to let someone else enjoy it. This is a very nice 1976 Scout II, 4x4. Very little rust and the exterior is better than average for its age. The interior is immaculate and was very well taken care of by the previous owner. I recently added new tires and a new battery. Also cleaned out the gas tank and put a new fuel filter in. Odometer reads 105,000 but it's likely turned at least once or twice. It's a real beauty for its age and I'll be sad to see it go. 0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false The heat works great. I haven't had the need to use the air conditioner very often, I only use it when it's really hot-I would say it's so so. ISSUES: There's a small patch of rust in the very back but other than that the body is rust free. The exhaust needs some attention, it will pop on occasion. As is typical for an older vehicle, the engine needs to warm up and it does leak oil a little bit. It also needs a new interior driver side door handle, should be easy to find via some Scout part sites. Otherwise the interior is in impeccable condition. The gas gauge works, sort of-when it's on half it means it's full then goes down from there. The previous owner told me there was a fender bender to the left front but the repair is sound. No accidents since I've had it. If you are close you are welcomed to check it out and take it for a test drive.
