Vehicle Detail
This is a VERY RARE 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible. This car has just over 94K miles on it. My dad has owned this car since 2008 back when it had around 43K miles on it and has driven it since then. It was a show car when we got it and the guy that sold it to us had quite a collection including a beautiful green Calloway and a mint condition split window Stingray that you would die for:). I am a car dealer so sometimes I bump into these rare deals and it sure made a good car for my dad. Well anyways, this car has been driven some since then and it is still in great shape and only has a few minor imperfections. You could make it show worthy again with not much effort or you can use it to drive because it is still a great looking hard to find custom car! How this car was made:)....... There was a company back in the early 2000s that thought a Z06 convertible was something that Chevrolet was missing out on so they decided to remove the body off of a Z06 and put a convertible body on it while keeping all of the Z06 parts therefore making a true Z06 convertible. A couple years ago I drove into the Chevy dealership with it and the service guy said "WOW, someone did a REALLY good job of making this convertible look like a Z06." I told him "they did a better job of making this Z06 look like a convertible!" He didn't believe me but when he looked at it closer he was amazed.....had never seen one before. Anyways the story that I was told was this company that did the conversions always looked for an almost new Z06 with body damage because if you are going to change bodies on a car why pay all the money for a perfect body that you are going to scrap anyways. This explains why the car has accident history. It has a clean and clear Texas blue title which is unusual because most of these I have seen have salvage titles due to the way they are built so this is really one of a kind. CONDITION: This car is in great shape and it looks fantastic. However, my dad isn't quite as good as I am about fixing every little thing on his cars to keep them in top shape so if you are like me there are few things that you will want to do to get it's quality level back. The interior is like new with no rips, tears, stains, or anything like that. However, when you sit in the seat you realize that a big guy has been driving the car. The foam is flat and the electrical board next to the seat has broken off of where it should be and it may have even shorted the switch because I can't get the seat to move. It is in the perfect position for someone 6'4" to drive it but I am 5'10" so I kinda struggled trying to drive it. The paint is in amazing shape and only has a couple little spots in and around the front license plate insert that need touch up. The rest looks fantastic. The front black spoiler underneath the car is like most of these Corvettes where the middle has fallen off and the sides need to be pinned back up. Mechanically though the car drives EXCELLENT. It is still tight and holds the road very well. The a/c is ice cold and the heat works too along with all of the other features other than the power driver's seat. The tires have about 50% tread on them but they do have some road noise as they are aging. There are no check engine lights on but sometimes the ABS/traction control light comes on. The last time I had this issue with a Corvette I just mailed off the electronic brake control module (EBCM) to ABSfixer.com and it cleared that up for $150 with a lifetime warranty. It's just 4 screws and I would have done it already but I really need to be concentrating on my businesses and not running all over town doing errands for friends and family. If you have any questions about that though just get on absfixer.com and call Brandon. I have been using them for years. He will tell you that it's no big deal. Other than those very minor things though here is a GREAT chance at getting a very unusual car that is in impeccable shape overall! Good Luck! Even though I am a licensed car dealer, I am selling this car for my dad so you will be buying it like you are an individual. That's right! No tax, no documentary fee, none of that. Buy the car and you will pay only the final bid price and that's it. You will receive a clear Texas blue title in hand if you pick it up regardless of what state you are going to register it in. The car is still being sold As-Is no warranty but previews are 100% welcomed. A $500 deposit will be due within 48 hrs via PayPal and the remainder will be due within 10 days. The buyer will pay for shipping but I can help you get a better deal than you will ever get on your own as I am licensed to ship through Central Dispatch. You MUST have a PayPal account to bid as I am serious about selling this car and do not have time to waste with fake bidders. Zero feedback bidders will be cancelled immediately if you do not call and get preapproval to bid. Any and all questions will be better answered via telephone than by email. 214 727 8179. Thanks! Chris........ Good luck in the bidding!
