The glass panel also tilts upward (pop up) to allow outside air to enter the car. There is a secondary, interior manual sliding panel that is upholstered to match the car's interior. Opening the interior panel may allow light to enter but not air. Fully functional. Rust: I have located 2 small rust spots in the rear trunk area and on the passenger side door area. I imagine a small amount of clean-up and re-conditioning would help mitigate these small areas. No part of the vehicle has ever been re-touched or re-painted.
