Vehicle Detail
After much thought I have decided to sell my 1946 CJ2A. This is a running , driving, and licensed Jeep. I don't drive this just occasionally , I drive it all the time. This is not a "trailer queen" or a "museum piece" but a pretty good solid old Jeep. I will list all the recent work and most has been done in the last 3-4 years. Newer complete brake job, newer non-directional 600 x 16 tires, new gas tank, the seats have been reupholstered , new clutch. This last winter I had purchased a rebuilt motor with 400 miles on it, I was told it was out of an M38 and I installed it in this Jeep. Runs great. Carburetor has been over hauled, as well as the starter. Newer exhaust, complete tune up. The generator was rebuilt by an A/C Delco shop and it also has a new regulator. It has been converted to a 12-volt system. I just put new front springs and front shocks in it. It steers good and goes down the road straight. As I am writing this ad, all lights, horn, gauges, and speedometer are working. Nice original side steps. All hat channels are good and the tool box is solid. Now, for some of the areas that could use some attention. The right side windshield glass has a crack ( to me it just adds to the patina, not an issue for me). When I had the motor out, I did put a new clutch in it as I previously stated, but I did not replace the clutch release bearing. I do not hear that well; but I am told that it does make a little noise. There is one picture of the left rear quarter, where you can see that its some what damaged. It was pushed out, but no body putty was added to hide anything by the previous owner. I was told it was original yellow, but has been repainted yellow some time back. If you need to know more---PLEASE ask questions prior to bidding. You can also contact me at 920-905-4096 --NO TEXTS--I will not respond. I would like to add, that this Willy's spent a lot of its life on a farm plowing snow. I used it two years to plow myself. When I wanted to insure it through Hagerty Ins. they did not like the idea of a plow on it so it was removed. I am only mentioning this to let you know that the frame is solid. No front frame horns bent down from previous years. No undercoating ---No rhino liner to hide anything. I am only selling this because I am getting older and I just have way too many Jeeps. I do have a reserve; but I feel it is a good price compared to the other crappers I see on E-Bay. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Buyer must arrange for own pickup of vehicle--I can help load if necessary. I reserve the right to cancel this auction, as I also have the Jeep for sale locally. This Jeep is being sold as is--no implied warranty. A non-refundable $500 deposit is required within 24 hrs of end of auction.
