1948 Chevy 4400 p/u truck for sale. This thing is super cool & gets tons of attention wherever it goes! The truck has the original 6 cyl. motor, 4 spd trans & low geared rear, but w/ a motor swap, it would make a killer tow rig or is awesome just the way it is! In 2006 the truck was restored & is in very, very nice shape. It's very clean underneath & the interior is very nice also. It's not perfect, but I don't think anyone would be disappointed, it has two fenders from California and some other replacement panels. The strait 6 and 4 spd manual trans. and drive line is original to the truck, it was converted to a 12 volt system and starts right up. this is a 1 1/2 ton truck. It runs good, but has very steep gears & a top speed of about 40mph. It has sat outside after being restored for short periods of time so the wood bed and some parts do show this, but not bad. Currently the brakes do need some attention (pedal goes to the floor). I do have replacement parts (new master cylinder & front wheel cylinders). IF YOU DON'T LIKE HOW BIG THE TRUCK IS, MY RESERVE IS LOW ENOUGH TO USE THE CAB & FRONT END & MAKE OR BUY A CUSTOM STREET ROD FRAME & DROP IT ON & MAKE A KILLER STREET ROD TRUCK OR RAT ROD, ECT. THE BODY WORK, PAINT, INTERIOR, ENGINE, TRANS, REAR, FRAME, BED, ECT ARE ALL WORTH WAY MORE THAN MY RESERVE!!! SOMEONE WILL GET ONE HECK OF A DEAL ON A COOL TRUCK! OTHER POSSIBILITIES ARE TO PUT A MODERN LS DRIVETRAIN IN IT FOR A BAD STREET ROD OR KILLER TOW RIG!!! I AM LOCATED LESS THAN AN HOUR FROM CARLISLE PA FAIRGROUNDS.
